Blueberry Corner

This place has changed since we went when it was very good a year ago - ordered coffee (weak milky) they don’t have coffee cups when eating in just paper ones, ordered muffins and asked for butter, they don’t have butter didn’t even have a knife for us to use or plates! Unfortunately won’t be back, not friendly staff, only good thing now is the kids play area.

One of the local berry farms, the blueberry corner has expanded from a place to buy or pick berries to a destination where you can go to for an hour or two. Not quite as commercialised as Julian's, which mostly means it's a bit quieter & more relaxed. Aside from the berries on offer they also offer juice, jams, chocolates & relish to take home. They have coffee, various berry ice creams and lots of tasty cakes, slices, muffins etc to eat on site. There's outdoor seating, some under cover to escape from the sun, and a play area with a climbing frame & an enormous jumping pillow to keep energetic kids occupied. There's three pens of chickens and a talkative parrot to engage with also.

Incredible amount of ice cream for the price. Yummy, homemade ice cream is hard to beat. The cone pictured is a regular size which was plenty filling. Friendly folks and nice little garden/playground area to walk around while you snack.

Best ice-cream in the country. The staff are amazing, friendly with great service. I always stop in when I go past, they were closed last time but the owner saw us and opened up for us, how awesome is that service, thank you.

Absolutely amazing blueberry ice cream and frozen yogurt in a waffle cone! I could not believe the serving size for the “regular” cone... I almost couldn’t eat it all. (But I did!!) They have plenty of parking, outdoor seating, a play area for kids, and rest rooms. They also sell fresh and frozen blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, as well as jellies and jams. Great service and good prices, too! Don’t miss this place when you are in the Bay of Plenty! They close at 4 PM, (and are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) so get there in time to get your amazing treat!

Great food, coffee and staff. First time visiting here and will definitely be back as just couldn’t fit in an ice cream as well which looked exceptional. Great play area for the kids as well complete with animals

For $6 we got amazing huge real fruit icecreams, so impressed! Only open Friday thru Sunday at present. Great kids play area. Berries for sale here, but pricey as near the end of season.
