Waipu Beach
Fantastic beach. Loved the river that wrapped around the one side with the rocks to climb on. Perfect family beach with picnic tables and a playground. Plenty of places to relax or explore. Would definitely come back and bring some friends. There is an electric stove top/grill to cook your food on, but no rubbish bins onsite, so keep that in mind.

Great beach, there are flags up during summer months, quite a few surfers. I noticed that the there were mostly families and surfers, which made for a nice crowd (no people blasting music). Good luck finding a park on a busy day!

Awesome beach. Even on a busier day, the sand stretches so far that people can disperse.The cove is very pretty and nice to climb on too.Free bbqs at the beach too. Just make sure to clean after use.Definitely worth a stop!

I LOVE this beach. Have been swimming in it for the past 5 days. Absolutely beautiful. A bonus is that it’s never super crowded even in summer. Can’t wait to go back and experience this paradise again.

Beautiful beach, just so nice and chilled. Sit on the rock and soak it all in, lap it all up before your swim/surf fun.....life’s truly stressful at times and places like this :-)

Nice clean beach to have fun with family. There is good tide and one can not only swim rather have multiple other thing to explore. Clean toilet. Also a public BBQ place at the beach.There are coffee shop near by. Safe beach as there are life guard available. Nice place for a good long walk at sea shore.

Awesome spot. Keep an eye on surf report for best conditions. Clean toilets and change rooms. Loads of parking and food available across the road.
