The Breakfast Club
Amazing brunch food, truly lives up to its name! Couldn’t believe someone didn’t make a cafe called the breakfast club sooner, the owners of slow lane really saw the opportunity and took it, and I’m so pleased they made it a modern/US diner vibes, with a fantastic menu filled with all the goods you could ask for. My friend and I chose this to celebrate her last brunch in Auckland and boy did she make the choice. We ordered what’s basically the big breakfast and a sichuan egg style dish, they were very accommodating as I wanted some pork belly as a side that wasn’t apart of my dish. Everything was so delicious!! We also got a little something from cabinet as their croissants looked pretty yum. The strawberry filled berry croissant was delish!! Yum filling to croissant ratio. Pleased as, personally love this menu compared to slow lane but the seating and space of slowlane is more preferred. The breakfast club is super popular and the space is fairly small so can get cramped quite quickly but the team still makes it work. Yum yum keen to be back!

The service was great and everything was pretty from the decor to the plating. However, if you're just looking for a good breakfast and cup of coffee this place is average and overpriced - large coffee is the same size as a small in other cafes and almost every meal on the menu is $25 and over. If you order the chicken croffle make sure you remove the paper before eating if you don't want to eat the paper.

Fantastic newly opened cafe at pt chev. The picolo coffee was perfect temperature. Not too acidic and really well done.Meatball medley was warm and inviting. With soft yolk eggs and crispy ciabatta bread.Matcha pancakes were soft and fluffy.Looking forward to try the fried chicken next time.Would recommend checking the place out. Crow was nonstop flowing in. Definitely live up to the hype.

We came here this morning for breakfast. The cafe is bright and inviting but it's also very crowded especially around the counter.I ordered the avocado caprese toast. The plate looked great but I was underwhelmed. The sourdough bread was untoasted and only one of the cherry tomatoes had been introduced to any heat. Everything was fridge cold and despite the lovely basil oil and dukkah it was under-seasoned.The cabinet food looks great so maybe next time it be a takeaway coffee and a cake to eat at Western Springs.

The cafe is aesthetically pleasing, but it lacks space and feels excessively crowded. I ordered the classic pancakes which were so disappointing; they were thin, dense and undercooked. Tasted like the Countdown buttermilk premix and definitely was not fluffy at all. Although the coffee was good, I would not visit again.

Wanted to try all of the menus as it looks so stunning ! But today I tried meatball medley and it was an absolute winter warmer. It was served on a hot plate so it's kept nice and hot. I ended up had to drink cold soda to wash it down. Perfect combo :)

There is a lot of hype over this new cafe. We had to wait over half an hour outside on a rainy morning. We expected this so that’s fine. The 3 stars is for the food. The overall presentation is colourful. But the food itself is lacking a wow factor. The pancakes are rubbery and dense. The menu says they are fluffy, so be aware of the misleading info. The spicy omelette is actually not spicy.

The star of the show was the pancakes and thickshakes. They are to die for. Porky dish was also a delight. Will definitely leave you with a full tummy. Service was great. Might be tough to accommodate large groups at busy times.

Awesome new cafe in Pt Chev. A fun menu with some very nice treats in the cabinet as well! If you're a sweet tooth, you'll like this place. The matcha pancakes were amazing.

Really lovely atmosphere and staff. We ordered the Choccy Supreme Pancakes and the Berries and Cream pancakes. They were both good, but would’ve preferred if the choc pancakes had more of a chocolately flavour. They didn’t have chocolate chips in as promised, and the chocolate cream was very light in flavour. The pancakes were still delicious though. The Berries and Cream pancakes were also good, but quite heavy. Very filling though so if you’re looking for a good portion this is the place! For the first day open I was very impressed with the service and quality of the food otherwise. Lovely experience ❤️
