Elgas Whangarei

I've been getting my gas from Elgas Whangarei for a number of years now and the service has always been fantastic, especially in times of extra need, like leading up to Covid lockdowns and when we've completely run out ;-) Thanks very much team, would happily recommend!

They are okay but they dont tick your card for the large tank fills only the 9kg bottles, I thought they might give 2 ticks for a tank for the amount of gas you are paying for, I think that is fair enough for the dollars you spend

Friendly and helpful. Fast fills even when they're busy and the drive-thru style of the shop is awesome because you don't have to lug bottles far or up stairs like the competitors.

Last October was sold two full 27 Litre bottles from elgas in Whangarei in Porowini Ave! Cost me $500 all up and the Sales person assurred me I could put these bottles into my car! (that was the main selling point for me becuase i dont have a ute or trailer) Today I go to refill one and they refuse to allow me to take one in the back of my car.I usually secure it with the front seat by moving it back and put the seat belt around it! I asked the guy when did this come into effect and he told me late last year.When I asked to speak to the manager he told me that it had always been the Law but they just had’nt enforced it!!! I said, So you sold me the bottles on the assurance that I could take them in my car knowing that it was illegal to do so and even loaded the two I purchased after filling them up back in october"! THIS IS A SALES SCAM TO GET RID OF THE 27 LITRE BOTTLES BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO ENFORCE THE LAW! I TOLD THE MANAGER ILL BE TAKING THIS UP WITH THE AUTHORITIES AND OBVIOUSLY WONT BE FILLING UP THERE ANYMORE AND WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT MY BAD EXPERIEINCE OF DECIET THERE!"

Since some month several orders have been forgotten. Two week ago an other order had been forgotten despite I send a reminder.So I rang Elgas and told them I need urgently my order so the lady asked me If I would be happy to pay 150$ for a quick delivery????Forgetting my order and than asking for 150$.Ok as every one can have a bad week I ordered for this week a delivery and have been asking if this will work.Email cam back should work So what does should mean I think It's time now to change the company.2 stars only because the drivers are great

This company does not respond to correspondence , ceased servicing Mangawhai Heads then our gas bottles disappear during last lockdown. Coincidence ?

Turning customers away before your stated closing hours and sending them over the road can't be good for your business!!!

They stole my gas bottle, replacing it with an older bottle covered in rust. Then claimed that the rusty old one is the one I bought in.This is a very dishonest company with terrible customer service.
