Easily the best medical decision I've ever made was to deliver my first bub with a Dr. Nick Walker. I had a HG and vomited through pregnancy but his assurance, care and eventual delivery (emergency c section) made me feel so comfortable and know my bub was safe and good. I was walking a day after surgery, and yoga within 3 weeks! Incredible care and phenomenal medicine.

I had extensive abdominal surgery with Dr Prathima Chowdary of Origins - Partners in Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Mt Eden, Takapuna,  Ponsonby, Papakura & her team at Ascot Hospital 10/2/2022. Any review could never convey the appreciation I have for the amazing professionalism, service, care & skill received from Dr Chowdary, & her whole amazing team she surrounds her patients with, in her all encompassing care & skill. From Dr Chowdary's amazing Mt Eden consulting rooms where Cindy & Susan, literally guided me from booking the initial appointment, right through the required pre-surgery processes & tests; organising the surgery, & Southern Cross Prior Approval processes, ensuring to keep all stress out of this whole process. I entered surgery feeling totally encompassed by care & skill by the very best Gynaecology team. This same care & professionalism extended to Dr Chowdary's Ascot Hospital theatre team, with Dr Marlin de Silva of Epsom Anaesthesia, who was the most caring Anaesthetist I have ever had, to every amazing person in theatre. As result, my recovery time was greatly reduced. This is the only time I have entered theatre for surgery to be introduced to the whole team & provided the role each would take during my surgery. I was not an just object or an 'abdomen' on the surgery table being discussed by those around me. I was part of the pre surgery theatre procedures & discussions, & it gave an almost surreal sense of calmness & confidence knowing I was being cared for with great professionalism & skill during & after surgery. Ascot Hospital's whole team continued to provide this amazing care for my whole duration, from Administrative staff during the booking processes, nurses, cleaning staff & meals provision of nutritious, tasty meals. Both Dr de Silva & Dr Chowdary visited daily in hospital & ensured I was kept appraised & fully understood the processes. From the very first moment I met Dr Chowdary I have been enveloped by her amazing care of her patients: ensuring I fully understood the tests, (she had organised), results, options, processes, issues & outcomes of surgery. I felt so respected throughout that it resulted in a calmness & comfort that I could ask any question, or raise any concerns, as they would be answered. I felt extreemly respected through this whole process which was so dignified. At the 4 week post-surgery consultation Dr Chowdary took the time to respect my husband to explain the surgery so he also felt part of this whole process, (very difficult in the current Covid-19 Omicron surge in Auckland). Chowdary's amazing skill, commitment & care of her patients has resulted in the amazingly successful outcome from my surgery. Thank you Mishael Logan

I chose Origins, Dr. Philip Beattie as my LMC because the clinic was very close to my work place, and i really liked the idea of working with one obstetrician throughout the pregnancy (or possibly two, a second obstetrician as a cover) instead of seeing different doctors each time as some of other clinics. Dr. Philip was my obstetrician because i called the clinic and he was available, later i found out how lucky i was to have him as his book filled up much quicker than you would realized. As a health professional myself, i would like to say, Dr. Beatie and his team was very professional, friendly and approachable. For a first time mother, Dr. Philip and his team made sure everything was well planned and i was well informed at every step. I was very supportive of my decision, and out of the many possibilities for my son's birth, i was able to trust Dr. Philip and his team for whatever we were going through.Thank you for made the birth much simpler than it otherwise could be. Looking back, I am just very appreciative for being their patient and being well looked after by Origins. 100% recommended. ONE little tip, call them quickly as the obstetricians at Origins get their books filled up really quickly.

I highly recommend Origins Obstetricians, particularly Dr Nick Walker. My only regret is not having Dr Walker for all my pregnancies. He is a skilled in his field whilst being super understanding, compassionate & empathic to his patients. He goes above & beyond for his patients & we are grateful for his care.

Dr. Kieran Dempster-Rivett was truly unbelievable. Warm and friendly, listened to me and genuinely wanted to help without trying to push any ideas onto me. If I ever need an OB again I will not accept anyone else. Everyone at Origins that I dealt with were fantastic and I cannot recommend highly enough.

I saw Dr Richard Pole for my pregnancy and am very grateful for his care. My birthing process was better than what I could have imagined despite the added complication of contracting COVID close to my due date. Thank you Richard!

Highly recommend Nick Walker as LMC. I started my pregnancy journey with a lot of fears due to my history, his reassurance helped me a lot. He did not only reassure me by his professional medical skill but also from the view of someone who has passion to take care and deliver a healthy baby. I had very long latent phase of labour which is frustrating but he contacted and listened to me make it easier a lot. Finally, with his right decision, I had pain less delivery (assisted delivery) and welcome our first baby to the world with very positive experience. Thank you so much Nick, we will comeback with second child :)
