First time and definitely won't be the last. Cozy atmosphere and plate portions were HUGE (and very filling). Worth the money you pay.

Very nice. We all enjoyed our meals. We were told when we ordered that there would be a 45 minute wait which we appreciated. It was lovely to enjoy a leisurely drink before dinner. We appreciated the fundraising for a local brewery that was destroyed in the cyclone, well done.

Amazing friendly service, calm atmosphere, delicious food every time. Would recommend 100%Do nice burgers, schnitzel, and delicious crumbed chicken cutlets with apricot sauce (pictured).

The place to be on Saint Patrick's day !, a lovely atmosphere, outstanding staff, awesome mainstream selection of drinks, live music, fantastic quiz nights, rugby games televised alongside great food. The lovely staff tend to needs and service with a smile is applied here which is very welcoming and apparent.Great place to be. Highly recommend.

Shared a delicious meal with my family this evening and everything was fantastic. Can recommend the beef & guinness pie wholeheartedly, my wife had the seafood chowder which she said was fabulous,as was my in-laws' fish and seafood dishes. Friendly staff and nice, laid back atmosphere. Check it out if you are in Havelock North

Food is OK. Kitchen service is incredibly slow on quiz nights. It can take up to 2 hrs to receive even basic things like a bowl of wedges! Atmosphere is OK, but it would be much more relaxing if they didn't blast you with music from overhead when the pub is full on quiz nights. It just makes it harder to talk and detracts from the atmosphere.

Attended here with my family whilst holidaying in the area. Great family friendly atmosphere with a kids corner for books and crayons to keep the kids happy. I was driving., so can’t rate the beer but it all looked good. The food was typical pub food but served with a smile and huge portions which were delicious. Good value for money and served quickly by very friendly staff.

Been coming here regularly for over 25 years. Most of it traveling 20 km from Napier to get here. Well worth the effort, never fails to impress. Great food, great selection of beer on tap, great service, great atmosphere, great place.
