Mossop's Honey Office/Factory
Do not go more than 10 minutes out of you way to visit unless you want something, (the products are nice but quite expensive as you would expect) but the live bee display is quite disappointing, especially if you have seen a bee colany behind glass before. In the information room there was a video that wasn't working and the lights are on a timer so they kept going off which was a bit annoying. Disappointing and I'm glad we were driving past anyway.

Mossop's Honey Office/Factory
This was one of the semi-unscheduled stops that my tour to Hobbiton made on the way back to the cruise ship. Our tour guide bought ice cream for all of us. It sure made the day after being in the heat of the day. This shop also have a few bee colonies that you can watch which means that the honey is locally sourced and always fresh. I loved the samples!

A must-do! Lovely gifts available and you can sample the honey. They make their own hokey pokey chocolate which is cheap and yum. Ice-cream available in store as well. Great affordable gifts. Actual beehive to have a look at as well.

Beware of this company , I have order 12x bottles of honey and I never received them. They refused to refund me for the missing package. They will stand behind their product 100% until you pay them then you are on your own .Check Amazon reviews about their product all misleading , How this company is still in business is a miracle by itself .

Lots of honey products to purchase and consume. Enviromental friendly packaging looks to be used when the choice is available. Good to support a local industry so I try to shop here whenever I'm in Tga.

Cute place. Ice cream and honey is delicious. It was a stop on our tour to Hobbiton and well worth it. Plenty of unique souvineers, honey products and gifts to purchase. See a live bee hive behind glass--pretty cool.

Love this place ....always buy rewarewa honey from here as its gorgeous, just like toffee in texture! Also have a honey ice cream while your here!!!! Super lush! Lovely lady owner too....very friendly! You must go!

Always love going in to Mossops with our tour groups. The staff are so friendly and assist where they can. Gets very busy when a bus load or two of visitors arrive, but the staff there really are the greatest with trying to assist everyone. BTW amazing ice creams as well as their honey.

Great place with cheap honey and cheap ice cream. Well worth a stopover. Much better than the Huka Honey Hives.
