Spends millions on bloated management and IT structures becuase under the covers the company is run by self centred career hoppers who care about their own goals vs actually making meaningful value for consumers. Quite happy building apps that coat millions literally to tell you how much they are a screwing you so some manager can boast about their software development experience to land their next 6 figure role.

They suddenly charge me $600 for last month gas bill. How? We only 2 people and get full time job, normally $50 gas usage per month and they ask me turn off the matter when I callback they other customer service ask me turn on but no hot water come out? Not any help and they so rude. We still in contract but we gonna move to other.

Had 2 weeks to complete training. Ended up being forced to do most of it again when another person came onbiard (not their fault), the training assessor didn't have the correct teaching methods at her disposal so, I was criticized for something that wasn't my fault as I thought I was doing it the right way but the assessor said it was all wrong & was told I should be doing better. I decided to leave New Zealand & return to Australia as two weeks wasn't enough time to relearn it all from scratch. Staff are expected to carry expensive heavy laptops to work. Considering the crime.rate in Hamilton, I tried to get them to see if we could leave them in lockers but I was told that wasn't company policy. The laptop bags were heavy & my back suffered. The people who tried to get me job in Auckland office were amazing though. Covid impacted training & it was all over the place. I should not have accepted the job. The Customer Service Reps were so friendly & patient with me thankfully so, I'll always remember that. One trainer especially was great to. I just didn't understand how I was expected to learn it all in those conditions.

Hihope you are doing wellliving on ulster street in apartments where we have three meters with each room. we haven't received our bill correctly or very less and i am not able to see the usage of electricity in their mobile application. i called them so many times for fix the problem but haven't got the any solution. we are facing these troubles from August still waiting anyone fix problem.

Never been one to post a negative comment on a business but as I’m sitting here in my home without power. A fridge/ freezer full of food thawing and a house of people I can’t feed. I’m going to share this experience. Returned home at 5 to find my power was turned off. Never had issues with bills so I called genesis only for them to tell me they don’t know why the powers off. They have no clue why, what they do know is we have to stay home and wait for a technician. Can they give us a time ? No. I understand the people on the phones are not to blame and I have been patient throughout this experience but the food ruined, Uber eats I have had to order unplanned and the lack of organisation and information from genesis has been an unwelcome way to start a long weekend.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Rang Genesis twice to cancel my account and they still haven't cancelled it. Go to cancel it on their website and their live chat isn't even available, and even when it is, it's absolutely useless. To make matters worse, they've just sent me yet another bill for a house that we're not even living in. It's easy to sign up with these guys, but so very difficult to get out and cancel. Other power companies are far cheaper. Look elsewhere.
