Sculptural Landscapes

In 2017 Sculptural Landscapes carried out work on building new retaining walls at our property as part of our EQC repairs, and building a deck for us as a separate project. We were impressed with not only the standard of the work completed but also with the friendliness of the team led by Jon. The team were always courteous on time and diligent in their approach to the projects , they worked in what sometimes pretty nasty weather conditions and never complained. We would highly recommend Sculptural Landscapes.

Jon and his crew turned my overgrown section post house building into a english type garden with lawns, retaining walls ( adding to existing remnant wall with rock and concrete pieces found on the section (post quake). The effect was excellent, as there was a two meter elevation from top to bottom of section. There work was competitively priced, efficiently done and team innovative with ideas. Recommend them with no hesitation.

Jon undertook a rebuild of damaged steps and a railway sleeper retaining wall for us after an earthquake rebuild. The job included re-levelling an existing tiered garden space. We are very happy with the result. Site access was not easy but the job was done in a timely fashion and to budget. We plan to have Sculptural Landscapes do further landscape works.

We have used Sculpural Landscapes both personally and through our own busness needs and have found them exceptional to work with. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and highly experienced at what they do. We are completely in love with what they did with our own garden, pathways and very technical and large retaining wall! They are a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

With a partner who is a perfectionist I knew I had to make a careful decision when choosing a landscaper to take on the big change we wanted for our front garden area and now that it is completed I know I made the right decision. Jon, Rebecca and the crew at Sculptural Landscapes worked with us over 2 years to turn our large hillside section into a beautiful and easy-care landscaped garden with multiple decks, paths and views. They worked with our original ideas and easily and happily adapted as the site and our vision changed. They made the process easy and enjoyable for us while keeping our budget/costs in mind. Thoroughly recommend these guys for their great skills, hard work, good communication, and fair prices.Jon and his crew did a major landscaping job in our garden, turning an overgrown mess into a beautiful stream side garden, with a deck, concrete paths and steps, built-in seating, a pergola, rock walls, and a lot of planting. The finished garden is stunning and exceeded all our expectations.The whole team is amazingly hard working, and they have a great complementary set of skills for every possible aspect of a landscaping build, from the hardscaping to the planting. Everyone was skilful, polite, and friendly.We were also impressed by their positivity and problem solving skills. Led by a creative boss (Jon), the team seemed to feel free to make clever suggestions to enhance the build and solve the inevitable problems that arose. That's a sign of a happy crew and a good boss.Jon communicated all prices to us very clearly, with everything itemised and costed. There were no surprises: all variations were discussed and quoted before the work was done. We paid exactly what we were quoted.The work they did is of a very high standard, and they paid careful attention to all the details. They were also happy to come back and finish off a few little bits and pieces we spotted. They were respectful of our property, tidying up each day and doing a thorough clean before they finished the job.Once again, I highly recommend these guys.

A great experience. I had some major tree work undertaken and they came up with ideas I hadn't thought about to improve my section in terms of the work I thought I wanted undertaken !. Actual delivery was professional and job was tidy at the conclusion. Will get them back next year
