What a rip off. Paid for sat nav not provided. Car over ten years old. And a wreck. Pick up documents send you to wrong place. Do not answer emails. No refund for extras paid for. Use at your own risk.Thank you for your comments. These are the the contents of the email I sent to the company I hired through in the Uk on my return. I could get no response from yourselves. The directions from the airport to pick up the car were incorrect. It took over 3 hours to get to where the car was. A lot of assistance was given by Park and Fly. They had ceased doing business with Drive NZ a few months ago. We had to give our credit card details and driver numbers over the phone. Otherwise wait until the office opened. Not what you expect from a company that says it provides a 24 hour service.The address they give as an office is the Jet Park Hotel. They have a car pound on the premises. There is definitely no rental desk. Hotel reception hand out the keys and take the returns. Any questions they deflect saying they only give and return the keys.The car was 10 years old and only the roof was free from damage. The interior of the car had not been cleaned as crisp packets etc were found inside. The car had 168000km on the clock and it drove like that. It got us around without breaking down. It would not have passed a uk MOT because of damage to the indicators. Even the locals were shocked with the state of the car.We were going to reject the car but it would have cost over £500 to stop overnight in Auckland and as there were no rental desk it did not seem worth it.There was no rental agreement given. No paperwork etc. There was no documentation or receipt given to prove that I had hired the car. There was no information as to what to in case of a breakdown. Fortunately it did not break down.I tried phoning the numbers they gave me. Tried emails. Said I would return to their office a sort the Sat nav out. Calls were not answered and emails not acknowledged.There was no one from the company there to receive the car or check it over although it was in office hours or to arrange transport back to the airport. They may if I had pushed it.This is not what you expect from a well run professional company. I have hired cars for over fifty years and never experienced anything like this.

Easy as anything. Completed online. Shuttle to pick up point. Handed the keys - no waiting. Car was ready clean and full of fuel.Upon return just handed back the keys - again no waiting, jumped on Shuttle back to international and flew away back to Melbourne.

Super happy with the affordability, service and quality of DriveNZ! We took one of the cheapest cars we could get for our 10 days in NZ which was clean and well maintained. If you can be bothered not collecting your rental car up directly from the airport you’ll save about half as much as one of the big rental companies. We’re in NZ frequently and will be hiring from these guys again. Thanks!

Rental was super easy to pick up and everything went really smoothly in that sense.The car did have a some rubbish in it from the previous people, which for the price I could look past. What did frustrate me was that there was only half a tank of gas in the car which, because I was in a rush, I did not see before driving off. Not sure how well these cars are checked before being rented out again.

I didn't want to leave this review but after giving Drive NZ every opportunity to do the right thing and remedy the situation, and subsequently being ignored, I felt like I had no option. Unfortunately I had similar experiences to others - fuel tank not full, overall poor condition of the car including a bald tyre; so contacted the company (via numerous emails and phone calls), but after twice being offered apologies and a refund they are now not answering my calls and no refund in sight. A pretty disappointing experience to say the least. Yes the rental was a great price, and I found the pick-up/drop-off easy & convenient, but the service and professionalism of the company leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, I would recommend you go with an alternative rental company, one that values their customers.

The car we hired was a Toyota Yaris. It was clean as a whistle and fully tanked when we collected it. It handles extremely well, is very comfortable and super economical!!

The entire process with Drive NZ was easy and comfortable. Good communication from the business and pick up and drop of was straight forward.The cute little Holden Spark was clean and reliable and very fuel efficient.Thank you Drive NZ I would definitely recommend and will use again.

I was under the impression that the car would be available at the airport, we had to get a shuttle to another place to get the car. Upon arrival, I got the key and had go on a hunt to find the car which was a bit inconvenient.The car was reliable, did not break and it did the job well.I may book it again in the future.

Overall good. The customers service regarding the pick-up & drop-off could be better. It required me contacting Drive NZ for instructions regarding pick-up & drop off. It would be better if this was automated
