On the outskirts of Tapanui..large area with toilets..also found a shower. Playground for children & walking tracks for adults..

This little hide away area is great, there was no one around for miles, the trail was great, loop much easier then then mountain top walk.alittle park,can camp. The little creek was great for the kids to play in.

Beautiful bush/trees and Domain with camping area and old style playground. Black Gully Track sign is wrong though. It says 2km and 5 hrs return. We walked uphill for 3km before breaching the treeline and gaining awesome views. Tapanui Hill was still some distance away. All up our hike took about 3hrs 40mins including 10-15mins taking in the views and photos.

Park here for access to the Black Gully hunting block.I never stayed in the cabins but a quick look through the windows and I wouldn't be put off by it at at.Playground for kids. Looks like it might get busy in the summer time.

Very quiet. Native tree and walks. We stayed the night in campervan. Flush toilets and shower were basi needed a clean.
