Got a takeaway coffee and walked around the lake. They make good coffee and were very friendly and prompt with service. Tables were mostly full but didn't have to wait in a queue for service midday midweek.

We recently held a work event at The Verandah. It was the best experience! The team were so accommodating to all of our requirements and made light of our 'not so small' last minute changes. The offer to have a team available for us to go in and set up at midnight to work around our schedule was something we are extremely grateful for. They provided out catering across multiple delivery locations whilst delivering to table at the same time and being able to cater requested cultural dishes that isn't on the menu absolutely topped off the experience. Being able to have audio/visual and decor set up inclusive of Venue and catering was an added bonus. We enjoyed the youthfulness of the event staff and we are really grateful to the entire team for providing such a wonderful space for us to celebrate. If there was any space for improvement, it would be the timeliness of delivery of food to tables but overall it was the most effortless Venue we have had to work with thus far!Thank you for the beautiful day team. We appreciate you all and will be recommending your space to anyone that asks!

Sadly this cafe has deteriorated.The staff are always chatting amongst themselves, dirty tables, slow service, poor quantity food & very overpriced.I attended a function/event at the Verandah last year which was really enjoyable & the service was top quality, however I attended another event a few weeks ago & sadly it wasn’t the same experience or service as I had previously received.I really hope this business can improve soon.

Good food, average prices. Great playground right beside if you've brought the children. Lovely views out over the lake. A nice place to be even on a rainy day.

We came in at 1:25pm on a Wednesday afternoon only to arrive to a sign saying the kitchen was CLOSED. The normal time the kitchen closes is 3pm.We were starving, and were able to order the chicken croissant from the cabinet, but NOT able to get it warmed up or grilled.When it came to the table, THIS (see image) was how much chicken was inside. The chicken and croissant were both very dry.Sadly, colleagues had gone here the day before and said it wasn't good. I really wished I'd have listened.Highly disappointed and do not recommend.

I went for a walk around the lake with my dog and stopped here for breakfast. This place is usually pretty good but they were pretty busy today. I ordered the Crossiant French Toast with Honey Ricotta and Berries. It was nice enough, but it wasn't very filling and absolutely not worth $22. It was DEFINITELY not worth the almost 40 minute wait for one croissant. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Great location but the food was a let down. Poor presentation, lacking flavour, overcooked scrambled eggs, overpriced . Place also could improve with cleaning.

It's sad to see these young people working but with negative (careless/boring/sad/upset) attitude. Save your time boys and girls, if you are not satisfied at your work place, leave! It your choice and responsibility!The pics are how the food being placed on and served on the table.

Very slow to do anything and can't even get basic food right. I paid $7.50 for a bacon spinach muffin, there were a few green specks and maybe 4 little pieces of ham, and it was SO crumbly it literally fell apart in my hands. My friend thought it looked like a packet mix so I felt pretty ripped off. An absolute waste of a beautiful location, these people don't deserve such prime real estate.

If the lake and amazing playground was not by this cafe, there’s no way it would survive. The service is incredibly slow - and not because they are understaffed - the staff just move at a snail’s pace. The tables are often left uncleared for quite some time and the birds swoop in. Today we waited half an hour for 2 items from the cabinet that just needed heating. The place was pretty quiet (it was a weekday) and I had a hungry 2 yr old which didn’t help. I went up three times to check on our food - as I could see one item sitting on the warning tray for quite some time. Even though there are plenty of patrons with small children, the staff never offer to help with high chairs or even opening the heavy doors for prams. If you choose to go here, you won’t be disappointed by the facilities, but you will be disappointed by the service.
