Rented gear from the outpost for our Abel Tasman tramp - they were super helpful in helping us get our gear list together, were very flexible, and the prices were reasonable. Everything else in the store looked great too!

Good range of outdoor stuff and lovely peoples who are very happy to help you making the right choice. Prices are honest too, I wouldn't go anywhere else in Nelson to buy tramping gears! Highly recommended to give that shop a try

Hope they sort out their payment options. Says Afterpay is allowed but hard to process. Ended up buying at Farmer's.Updated: I have been using AP for several years now and ONLY Outpost Supplies had processing issues. Maybe you could put more effort into looking at your own processing issues" instead if putting it on Afterpay."

I rented sleeping bag, liner, and sleeping pad for one week". The equipment was in great condition and perfect for car camping.Ended up keeping everything for an extra week and was unable to call them to let them know due to problems with my phone. When I returned they were extremely understanding. Prices were also very reasonable."

Great shop!!I wanted to buy a new backpack for hiking, I got VERY good advice from the guy (with a cap), he knows the brands and the products well, is very professional and friendly!Also, the backpack I bought is super strong and practical! (fair price)100% recommended! :)
