McLaren Falls Park
The McLaren falls are not actually in the McLaren Falls Park but are a short distance before you reach the park’s entrance if driving in from the Kaimai Range state highway 39. Water from the falls passes under a bridge and if you want to stop and have a look there is parking available just before you reach the bridge. The park itself is beautiful; there are some good photos on the website. It has an information centre which was open but unattended during our visit (on a Monday morning). There is also a café, but it’s not always open. There are walking tracks throughout the park and some beautiful old native bush with very tall trees. Roads in the park areone-way only and very narrow. So it seems likely that traffic flow could be quite slow on even a moderately busy day.

McLaren Falls Park
It picture perfect in autumn, with the colours of the leaves so vibrant. Cherry Bay is a short walk from Marshalls Animal Park, so it's worth checking out afterwards. Parking is limited, so leave your car there. The park has BBQs for use and lots of kayakers out on the water. There is also a Cafe on site

McLaren Falls Park
A wonderful park with great walks and beautiful views and well maintained tracks and seating. Loved every track and ample pparking and toilets. Take own food. We wanted to support the cafe in the park but their kitchen was closed 2.30 on 2 Jam when patrons were eberywhere eager to get a feed.

McLaren Falls Park
A wonderful park only a ten minutes drive from Tauranga. There are options here for camping walking and jsut geneal sightseeing and nature appreciation. The cafe onsight is well priced and provides some food close by. Toilets are scattered throughout the park so you wont be too far away from them at any point. The McLaren falls on the way in is also spectacular.

McLaren Falls Park
Beautiful nature reserve with magnificent waterfall, big open fields you can camp here as picnic tables, bbqs, showers are available too but check first to see if camping is available when you want to stay, a cafe, park ranger, animal farm, canoeing, beautiful wildlife, big ponds, Frisbee golf, walks to see natural beauty, trees, ducks and geese, abundant bird life and a waterfall and glowworms, plenty of parking and great access usually to drive through. Certainly worth your time to park up and explore the beautiful reserve and just take it all in and smile.
