Historical Maritime Museum & Park

Finally went in, after driving past many times, and so glad we did. New people have done a lot to the place, it shows just how enthusiastic they are. We took a ride on a steamboat which was great fun, especially the commentary. The museum was interesting with a lot of stories, and it was lovely to just wander around the grounds. Well worth a visit.

A must to stop in on your way to Paeroa check out the wharf and the Christmas lights are a definite must see. Beautiful grounds

Maritime Museum in Paeroa is well presented & it has lovely beautiful landscaped gardens leading down towards wooden walkways right next to river & wharfs for boats for Cruises up and down the river. And also there extra land for Motorhomes,Campervans to stay over night $20. Non Powered site per night & $25. Powered site per night & Admission into Museum is $8.00. Maritime Museum site is in very good location which right next to State Highway 26(SH26) &Paeroa township has many shop,petrol stations,Countdown,Pharmacie,Liquor stores,Macdonalds,Garden Center,bank,Takeaways,Medical Center and many more businesses

Have always driven past and not realized the lovely grounds, boat trips and very interesting museum were all there .Well worth a visit.

Nice to visit , lovely lady dedicated decent time walked us through interesting history of items.
