Mercer Bay Loop Walk

One of the best place to enjoy nature, fresh air, water and beach. Very peaceful, calm, beautiful and relaxing.But the only thing is you should be ready for hiking since there are lots of steep steps and slopes both the way in and put. Almost 35-40min walk from parking to the beach.But its worth the time and energy spend.Lots of parking available.Washroom facilities available.

One of our favorites in the north island! We went on a stormy day which was cool in a different way. Either way a beautiful spot. Definitely a lot of up and down in elevation though. I'd imagine that could be especially tough on a hot, sunny day.

Stunning views. The vast ocean and mountains just left me in awe. Quick walk that can be done in under an hour. Quite steep going back up, but doable.

Beautiful views, nice easy walk. It took 2.5 - 3 hours for us to complete all tracks - Mercer Bay Loop Walk & Comans Track & Ahu Ahu track. We stopped many times during our walk to take great photos. There is a small part required climbing to get down. On site parking.

Amazing walk! Great for begginers and expert hikers alike! Loved the mountains creeping up on the horizon and the sea just inviting you in. I also made a ladybug friend!!

Breath taking view, walk is easy. We did the Mercer Bay loop KereKere trail which led to the beach, than looped back to Mercer. Took us 1hr 30mins each way. If you're doing just Mercer Bay loop it will only take 30mins to complete

The views can be gorgeous or brutal, depending on the weather, but never fail to impress.

Stunning views and an easy walk. Perfect walk for the family. We did it in 45 minutes with a 4 yo but could be about 30 easy.You can park prior to the gravel or drive a bit further on the gravel to the car park. Plenty of parking most weekends.There arnt many seats etc for a picnic here but are spaces if you bring a sheet to sit on.

Beautiful track along the cliff tops, steeped in Maori history. Typical rough West Coast walk. Well formed track with amazing lookouts along the way.
