If you’re up for a good walk, then this would be the view you’ll get in return. Well worth it

Just a short 200m walk to a very cool view. Well worth it. Seals playing in the water below was awesome

A definite landmark for NZ geography! We visited on a rainy day, which is not ideal. Still good to go there and see the cliffs and hear the waves crashing. And see the contrast to the calm water of the bay.

Another must do walk when in Puponga. A short walk to the edge to see the rock formations and arch. If inclined, pun intended…hike up the hill for more stunning views of the coast, the rocks and the Sand Spit to the North. Don’t get to close to the edges, stay safe.

Great place to visit ! But on a sunny day a must bring is water and sunscreen and lots of it. The road to get here is not paved so make sure your car can handle a dirt path. Such great views. Really encapsulates New Zealand nature!

Short drive up a side road to the car park and short easy walk to the viewing platform. Nice view of the cliff and sea but not overly amazing

Nice short walk at the very end of South Island.Beware of the strong winds- they can blow you away. Stunning Photopoint but you have to pass 15 km of gravel road. Would recommend it if you have time to explore, wouldn't do it if I had time pressure.

The northernmost point of the South Island. Easy 5 mins walk from the car park to the viewing platform to the the Archway. It was very calm and no wind on the day we went. The power of the waves crashing into the cliff is so mesmerising to watch. Make sure you also check out Wharariki Beach while you are here too

Forecast wasn't good, but got a 5km walk on the beach front, weather closed in on the way back.Low tide shows an extensive tidal flat and great curving shoreline on the spit.Excellent chance to experience an area which must be largely unchanged.Unique part of NZ.

A thing of beauty, great views and amazing rock formations. You can climb on the nearby hills for better views but be mindful of the sheer drop at the edge of the cliffs. Can be a bit windy.
