Good place near the Franz Josef Glacier. There are clean restrooms and showers with warm water. However, the organization of the arrival is very chaotic, we did not understand it at all. The small campervans are at the back of the camp, where there is a parking space for everyone. Many places are too small. However, an excellent price of $15 per person.

It is honestly the best campsite I've ever been in my life, it's like being in the middle of the jungle, very well maintained and very quiet, but also with good atmosphere. It is all very well maintained, the staff is super attentive to guests and extremely friendly, very very good treatment, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. If you are thinking of staying in the area, this is definitely the place to stay.

So this place would have been great but here is the deal. If you show up before 2pm you are greeted with a sign that says you cannot continue until you have paid, and a sign at the door telling you to self check in. It is a ruse. Once you pass the sign that says not to proceed there is a bulletin board explaining that if you check in before 2pm you will be charged an extra $5 per person. This information is not available to you until you have already paid. When confronting the owner he mentioned that most people don't show up before 2pm so it never really is a problem. Later in the day I overheard him scam multiple people this way. When I asked why this information wasn't on the door with the self check in info he told me that it used to be, but there was too much info on the door and no one read it so he moved the info. I would think important information like cost would be easily accessible but I get you can't get extra money from people that way. That being said, the facilities were nice and clean, the warm showers were nice, the spots were a little cramped when it was busy but otherwise fine, and the price as long as you check in after 2pm is quite fair. There is wifi available throughout the camp and plenty of places to hang out and change your devices. I would definitely stay here again, I would just be more cautious about my check in time.

Free wifi but it hardly works. Showers are a mess, water doesn't drain away, so no dry area, kitchen is not clean by my standards, BBQ is a little electric hot plate that has seen better days. The positive points are that the sites have a little privacy and the stones on the driveways and sites are a good idea, water drains easily. This also comes at a good price, so if you're watching your budget it should be ok.

Stayed here one night and was impressed with the facilities of the place. Additionally each campsite was quite big and secluded from each other using bushes and trees which gave it a real nice feel. They also allow you to choose your campsite on a first come first served basis which is nice.Additionally many of the campsites have their own bench with table which is a great touch as well.Would definitely recommend for anyone staying with a camper in Franz Josef

One of the most beautiful campsites in New Zealand. There are a lot of cozy parking spaces between the bushes so you feel like in a forest. Everything is clean and the owner is really nice and helpful. He makes sure everything is fine. Also he did a free glowworm tour with the camp. The price for one night at a non powered campsite is really cheap with 15$. I would highly recommend this campsite if you are in Franz Josef.

Stayed here for one night over the winter. Take note that you don't get $15 promotional price unless you commit to a minimum of 2 nights.Facilities are there. Good toilets with hot showers, kitchen, small outdoor dining area. The kitchen was very small and basic, and I can't say I enjoyed cooking there. There were supposed to be showers at two locations, but one of them had some plumbing issues apparently and was closed. The toilets that worked, together with the other amenities, were at the edge of the park, so a bit of walking was required for me (unfortunately it also drizzled). My biggest complaint is, however, there is absolutely no garbage handling system here. No bins for neither the landfills nor recycling. The only ones available are the sanitary bins in the toilets. I asked the reception about this and he kept asking me to bring my recyclables to the bins outside 4 Square". This is ridiculous - how about non-recyclables? Soiled napkins? Egg shells? Food scraps and waste? Food wrappings? How was I supposed to cook without a bin? If I had to bag my trash up anyway

Loved our stay here, its a unique campsite winding its way around the property with campspots tucked in between bushes and trees. Gives you some privacy and a nice sense of being in the bush. You can see the Glacier quite well from the site which was awesome, and an easy walk to the main street for food and cafes. Beautifully hot showers!!!! The campsite is fairly tight if you have a big vehicle (we had a 5-berth RV), but don't let that put you off, just take it easy.

We stayed 2 nights at Orange Sheep and would recommend to anyone. There's free wifi, free hot showers, beautiful views and depending where you look you can even see the Glacier. The owner is very helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. Right next door to the Glacier Hot Pools and Laundromat.

One of the best holiday park I've done! It has nothing to envy to its colleagues who offer a night/person for more than $25. For 15$/p you will have a hot and unlimited shower. Sinks for your dishes, a dumb station at the entrance and wifi (doesn't work very well but ok for the price). Sites for van are nice, separated by vegetation with wooden tables allowing you to eat without taking out your camping gear.I recommend totally !(Bring cash if you arrive when reception is closed)
