I have only been to Bloom once, and I'm already looking forward to making my next appointment! Jana has created a beautiful and comfortable space inside Emma For Beauty - two kickarse women running their own businesses, what a power combo! It had been 13 months since my last haircut, but Jana was very non-judgemental and explained the processes she would take to strip all the nasties away from my hair and restore it back to a good condition. First Jana used a charcoal shampoo and applied it a couple of times alongside a deep conditioner, before I let her run free with a cut and style. I never really know what I want at the hairdressers, so I love it when I can just sit back and relax and let the stylist do what they do best! Jana is very friendly and made me feel at ease, I felt like a new person when I left her studio, my hair felt so soft and light and fresh, like she'd taken so much weight out of it. I have had many compliments these past couple of days! Jana sells a small range of products that she trusts and uses in her studio, but she doesn't push them on you to buy, which is refreshing. I like that she uses really natural products without bad chemicals and silicones. I'm thinking of going back next month for foils, I feel like I will definitely keep up a better hair care routine now! I highly recommend Jana, Bloom Hair Studio is a great little addition to Wanaka.

Jana removed a few years of store bought hair dye buildup on my hair without the use of harsh chemicals. Then She coloured my hair with natural dye and introduced me to healthy hair care products that don’t buildup on my hair. My hair has dramatically changed for the better. Thank you!

I had the best hair salon experience in years!Jana' skilled hands are truly the best. She cut my hair and styled it in a way that suits my personality...and my...hair, like no one ever did.She took the time to ask me about my preferences and needs, explained every step of the process, and made sure I was comfortable with it.She uses a range of organic and natural products that are designed to respect hair as a natural matter. They don't coat it with any sorts of chemical and nasty stuff. After all, think of it, people have had hair for centuries and were using it as a a way to seduce others. Did they use all of the chemicals we now use?!! I don't think so.Usually, hairdressers use professional methods on your hair they've learnt without realising that the end result might not suit your lifestyle and the nature of your hair. Unfortunately it means your hair looks awesome until you wash it the first time... And then you're left with a mess.Color is faded/yellow, hair looks dry/too thin again etc...But thanks to Jana, my hair is healthier it's ever been and the cut is subliminal, even after several washes!It doesn't need any serums and special masks or conditioners, styling it couldn't be easier and I get compliments everywhere I go!I highly highly recommend you go to Bloom next time you are considering having your hair done, whether it be for a cut or a colour. Ask her about her products too. Remember, products that actually respect your hair, oh, and the environment ?! Trust me, your hair will thank you for this and you'll end up saving so much on all those serums and stuff you usually need to use to keep your hair feel smooth and detangled. Xoxo
