Great 3 day stay in the house there which has fridge, freezer, full power, two flushing loos, 2 showers. Comfy sofas, tv, wifi. You could make your stay here as busy or as quiet as you would like. We were relatively slothful. Lots of eating and drinking interspersed wth swims in the river which is beautifully clear. The weather was just stunning. We had dinner wth owners Mary and Bob. They're lovely...Good people. I even got a fly fishing lesson from a very pleasant outdoors chap named Hugh. He and his partner Jill (again a great woman I could tell would become a friend) stay there in a cabin and help the owners out. I did not want to leave, I voted for telling bosses the group was going to have to self isolate there for 7 days but others had to get back home. Thanks Wairata Station, I feel very relaxed.

Stayed two nights. The most wonderful quiet beautiful loacation. Swims in the river and tours up into back blocks of farm. Bob was a wonderful host. Thank you. Steve and Belinda

This place is a secret and onecwell worth finding. All types of accommodation cabins cottages motorhome parking, farm tours, hunting and fishing. Yes we love Waioeka gorge, and this station is quiet. We first came here with our flyfishing club AFAC and stop by here now when we can

We have been holidaying with our family here for over 15 years. Our holiday 'home' away from home. We have built years of happy memories, celebrating Xmas's / New Years / 16th Birthday / 70th Birthday of my mum / my 50th Birthday and any occasion to just get away from it all. Trout fishing, kayaking, tubing, mountain biking, swimming, hunting, relaxing, riding our horses, exploring and soaking in the jewel of what Waioeke Gorge has to offer. The generosity, flexibility and kindness of the hosts is as alluring as the splendor of this special place. There is a choice of accommodation options - we've stayed in them all and love them. It's a privilege to be able to stay on a working farm surrounded by native bush - truly a New Zealand treasure that all Kiwis and tourists need to experience. Thank you Mary & Bob - this place has given us the memories of the best holidays ever. WE WILL BE BACK. :) Footnote - my profile pic is of me on my horse (RIP) at the gorge a decade ago

Great camp, we brought our horses here, February 2014, wonderful time, great views. Lots of lovely riding. Can't wait to come back.
