Kiritehere Beach
Stunning beach , the rock pools were awesome for the kids (ages; 1,5&6) when the tide was out. And also a beautiful river that runs through the beach also perfect for swimming aswell. Didn't find any fossils but wasn't looking to hard either. Awesome little caves hidden throughout. This beach I highly recommend going at low tide. Not a beach for swimming but the rock pools; river make up for that. Will be getting a holiday home here for sure!!**Do note: Rubbish bin & toilets avaliable. No network coverage. Remote location & no shops or gas stations nearest being Kawhia or Otorohanga just over a hours trip away**

Kiritehere Beach
A beautiful place to visit and take your rubbish home with you. Freedom camping is PROHIBITED in Kiritehere. It's about 50kms to the nearest petrol station or food outlet so come prepared with adequate supplies.

Beautiful place at the end of a Very long ride - it was Sunny and hot - I am glad I had my.hat as there was No shelter - the scenery was lovelyThe road was long and winding - it was pouring with Heavy rain most of the journy there- We stopped to look at the Falls - which were beautiful and not too far from the road- We also stopped at a coffee shop but it was closed even though we had followed all the signs and was look8ng forward to a cold drink- Another place we stopped was the natural bridge - after a short walk there was a notice to say it was closed - sorry we missed outAlthough we didn't see everything - itbwas a lovely ride - better on the return when it was dry but great non the less

Kiritehere Beach
Very pretty and remote. About one hour from Waitomo, no petrol stations or cell phone coverage or shops, so take some food and drinks. There is a toilet and freedom camping is allowed. The South end of the beach has 200 million year old fossils of shells in the rocks. If you're going fossil hunting, go when the tide is out. There were a few 4WD's on the beach, and were fishing off the beach.

Kiritehere Beach
A must go place, with not only beach, but also streams, rocks, beautiful grasses. And plenty space for parking. Easy to get to the beach. On the way to the beach, you can even see some lovely horses in farmland by fence.
