Wanted to grab something for quick lunch. So thought of trying their range of seafood skewers. I ordered Takoyaki octopus balls, Homemade tartare snapper tempura, Panko crumbed mayo prawns, Seafood mayo crab surimi tempura. All of them tasted good, quantity was good too. Staff was kind and helpful. Will try more of their skewers next time. Thank you.

Prices are super affordable and owner was nice! Portions are not too bad too.

Disappointing. I ordered because the picture had eggs on the vegetable ramen but my noodle didn't come with it. I asked the staff and she said the picture is wrong. Bad service and low quality food. Please be careful.

So food is cheap but pretty bad, seemed a bit old, greyish egg, tired lettuce and what seemed like overcooked chicken absolutely drenched in teriyaki sauce (over killed), didn't feel so good afterwards. Two stars because it's cheap somewhat tasty but I'm not sure about this place. Wouldn't go back sadly.

Hands down my favorite sushi spot in Auckland so far. The price is unbeatable and the range of (PYO) sushi is vast, to the point where I struggle to choose what I want. I could eat their sushi every day. Highly recommended.

Sushi and Japanese food lovers need to come here. Hundreds of menus. Rice or ramen. Drinks also served. Cheap and tasty.

From a distance, it looks very inviting. Especially with the amount of food that they provide, the ability to pick and choose yourself, and the different variety. Upon closer inspection, they look like they were made and cooked the day before.Taste is a completely separate matter. If you ever wanted to taste Japanese food made by people that doesn't care then look no further. Bland is the first word that comes to mind, followed closely by chewy. The sushi is tasteless. You're supposed to mix the rice with seasoning, be it sushi rice vinegar or the powdered kind. Don't just use plain rice. I don't even want to know how old the salmon are.Don't get me wrong, way back when, this place was actually pretty good. It looks like the standards have gone downhill...fast!Don't bother with this place, instead go across the road and visit St Pierre Sushi. Even if they're not the best, their sushi will taste a hell of a lot better than Umi Sushi's. I hear some say But St Pierre's doesn't have the deep fried goodies". I say you're not missing anything much anyway."

Their food looks so good but the taste is definitely not worth the look. Everything is cold and tasteless...especially the sweet and sour chicken was nothing but saltiness. I went there several times but every time was a new experience of disappointment. NEVER AGAIN

5 stars for the oden egg on a stick. Only $3 for 2 super tasty eggs, and it comes in a nice little cup of oden soup! The other stuff doesn't look very good, but would definitely recommend the oden eggs!
