Do not use this company!In September 2019 I requested a quote from Melanie in our local Hamilton office to paint our monies tile roof, having already had the roof cleaned, treated for moss etc. The last phase was the painting. When we had the cleaning etc done we received an estimate of about $15,000 - $20,000 for the painting and so decided to go ahead.It took from September to 5th December to wring a quote out of theses guys (Melanie) after many, many numerous phone calls etc. When it came in, to say we were astonished is putting it mildly It was for $33,000, and no end of trying to convince the office lady (Melanie) that it was wrong, that she must have the wrong property etc could convince her.I finally managed to get on to the Ops Manager, Brett, and to his credit he came out immediately that same day. He took one look at our roof and instantly agreed the pricing was way out! Two or three days later I received an amended quote that was at last somewhere in the region of what we were expecting and so we agree to go ahead.Come the day - the paint arrived and it was totally the wrong colour! Brett to his credit raced to Auckland then and there and picked up the correct paint so that the contractor was not held up.The Painter did a marvellous job. I must point out that he was not an employer of Hardys - he only contracted to them.Overall I just cannot recommend this company to anyone contemplating their roof cleaned and painted.

Had them spray the house and concrete, after 12 months the lichen on roof was gone but the gutters and flashings are still covered in lichen. The green scum is still on roof and deck. The product did nothing to the driveway after 2 applications . Overspray has damaged my cedar walls! Have sent photos to them but they ignore emails and complaints and hope you go away. The attitude of their rep completely changes after they have your money. Be warned. Mat the operational manager has since come and inspected job and accepted responsibility and by agreement they have come back and rectified the issues to our satisfaction. Thank you Mat

Lil bobby is the man hard worker

Contracted Edwards & Hardy Roofing to soft wash the roof for moss and lichen.......will have to wait for the results, but I was very happy with the job they did on the day.

Bought a new home and one of the requirements was previous owner was to have some flashing replaced and some gutter work. They had arranged edwards and hardy to do the work. Worker arrived one day, after we had taken possession and was on the roof for a short time and said he will be back.They have not come back to finish the job. I’ve sent photos of the unfinished work to them. Nothing! I’ve had 2 separate roofers up there and they have both said the job was shoddy and unfinished and not up to code. I have phoned and left messages on this matter but no reply. Worst company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Yet they have still invoiced the previous owner for the completed work

The sales person came to our property with a poor attitude from the start I suspect still carrying a grudge that he missed out on the work he quoted on last time. His first comment was that they declined to repair and paint the roof in 2013 because it was too crumbly". This was incorrect as it was actually 2008 that the work was done. And they didn't get the work as they were too expensive as opposed to his claim of the roof was too crumbly. He couldn't answer why the roof was STILL operational (although needing a new paint job) some 14 years later. Despite his claim it was "too crumbly"... This time he said he could repair

Despite repeated calls to get a quote for a reroof job, no one ever got back to me. Fail.

They are great and they are efficient and very friendly.I like the fact that they they have experienced staff and very informative when asking questions.Thanks 10/10 I will continually get them in every year, cause I'm very pleased with the service they provide to me in Rotorua.I have recently booked Edward and Hardy Hamilton to do my mother's property in Te Awamutu.Saleman very helpful and experienced and knew what he was looking at, fall informative when I had questions.Quoted me over the phone, which I have excepted and booked in the job on behalf of mmy mum.

Communication is very poor, they just show up with no prior warning. Then only part of the job was completed and after chasing them for months and getting all the excuses,(first it was covid, then it was the weather) they just sent me the full bill indicating they are not going to finish the job. Do not use this company

Edwards Hardy have been taking care of my croncrete tile roof (House built in 1955) since I purchased my home in 2002. The service provided is punctual, competent and carried out with polite trades people. The time has come however to replace my old tiles with a new iron roof, so I will be asking them to quote for this job.
