One very quite campground, it was not full even on New year's!It is free to stay, has a long drop, river water is safe for consumption after boiling, and has tons of shelter. The access road says 4×4's only but I had no trouble in my Toyota Lucida people mover, but drive down at your own risk. The river is a bit small for kayaking but I still had fun having a bit of a paddel around.

We did a half day picnic by the river next to the camp site. Great swimming hole at the river bend with clear emerald green river water and not too nippy at this time of year. Cliff with a rope to haul yourself up and leap off for those with the daring.

Stunning place for a visit. Off the beaten track so hardly anyone else there.

4x4 only. Very quite place. Recently have had break ins (windows smashed) so don’t leave your car overnight. Here is a recent photo of the road.

Quiet spot by the river, as many flat spaces as you might want to set up tents, and no big RV's due to access road

A nice quaint river bend in the middle of no where. Quite a while down a gnarly gravel road, not suitable in winter. The path down into the river is now in pieces so don't expect to be able to get your sedan down. A small area for camping there, with no facilities but a long drop.

Great spot right in the bush but you need a 4x4 to safely get down and back up. Walk it first if in doubt

Three small fords to cross and a very rutted out road to get down the hill to the campsite. Nice spot though!
