Beautiful place to spend a day. Costal walk, good beer, wine, jumping into water, take the mapua ferry and cycle across the island and come bknin the same ferry. You can take your bike in the ferry. Sunday afternoon was blessed with beautiful live band. Enough car parks. Good place to camp. There is a private camping facility with cost varying from 30nzd to 200nzd in front of the water. Loved the beautiful color of the water. Options are there for water sports also. A must visit.

This place has a fantastic friendly atmosphere about it. Beautiful little village with a great selection of cafes and bars to enjoy the setting. Spent hours here and will return

We biked from Mapua Leisure camping ground to Mapua Wharf. Such a cute Tiny set up of cafes, local shops, pub and Sunday Market. Small museum. Very cute

Lovely, beautiful peaceful and friendly venue. We shopped, ate at the restaurant and visited the interesting maritime museum then sat outside watching the sea birds and lapping up the beautiful scenery.

Quite a busy place , loads of great shops , some not open everyone was friendly, allow plenty of time to walk around and browse, coffee, wine taste and have a bite to eat

Fabulous destination, wonderful cafes, art galleries and shops. Something for everyone... even found C3Pio and R2D2 made out of nuts and bolts which I just had to have!

Awesome place to take the family, grab food and drinks!Plus, you can take the ferry over to the island from here, or swim off the wharf!Just be careful of the strength of the incoming or outgoing tide, because they get very strong!

There are some shops next to the wharf, it’s nice to be relaxed there with sea views.

Just has a lovely feel to the place. Attended on a Sunday and there was a nice market across the road. Cafe culture / lunch at the side of the river is just great
