Tokaanu Lodge Motel
We got a 1 bedroom apartment for a great price. The proprietors were very helpful especially when flights were cancelled and our travel plans disrupted when auckland airport flooded. The apartment had a good and clean kitchen and bathroom. Some of the mattresses were a little thin and there were a few mossies in the apartment because there are no fly screens. The thermal pools are a retro experience, but unique for me and we loved them.

Rooms a good good clean. Dishes need a good clean, could not believe how dirty they were. Left there with bug bites. Will never go there again. Excellent location though. Close to hot pools and Whakapapa.

Thank you for having us overnight so that I could rejuvenate and rest up to continue our drive home. Very comfortable and cozy. Even though close to road it was still quiet. Hope to stay again soon

The accommodation was just ideal for our family of 8. It was very comfortabe and warm. Thumbs up to our host and owner of Tokaanu Lodge Motel, Sheryl, for making us feel welcome. The only downside was the noise of the traffic as our room was close to the road.

Tokaanu Lodge Motel
Nice little place, cheaper accommodation that has not been painted by professionals. A few small things that need fixing, but nothing that is going to worry you while you stay here. The biggest problem was the Wifi which was worst then any 3rd world country. A simple web page would take 2 minutes to load and there was no chance with video of any sort. No game would load and connect to severs and there is only 2 bars for spark in this area.... so if you want to go off grid, this is almost the place to do it.I do like how these owners are into recycling and composting initiatives.

Quaint little lodge with huge rooms and 4 different mineral spa pools. Ring direct for best booking options. We were really lucky to get a room the day it was cancelled. Great for families.

Loved how the owners have put modern touches to the dated buildings. Definitely appreciated their environmental sustainable practices. Super pet friendly and clean rooms. Great prices.
