The Chrome Academy

The Chrome Academy is a warm, welcoming and inclusive community with fantastic facilities that are above and beyond. I have never felt so celebrated for just being myself.Coming to the studio I have gained strength, flexibility, stamina, physical fitness, confidence and more. Most importantly I have found myself through dance which has been priceless.Whatever your focus or goals are you can take them in any direction with all the options available. Whether you want to learn big tricks, find your flow or just dance it out.Thank you TCA for showing me pole dance and aerial arts are for every body type and everybody. I am so grateful for the wonderful family I have found here.

I absolutely love chrome! I started quite nervous as I’ve never been a dancer but was so happy with the sense of community and inclusiveness I found there! I do both aerials and pole, and flow classes! I was encouraged to wear whatever made me feel comfortable, the instructors are so encouraging, enthusiastic and empowering, couldn’t recommend enough!

Fantastic studio, beautiful ambiance, lighting and people to support you feeling fantastic and full of confidence!Very knowledgeable instructors and plenty of extensive experience to learn from.There are intructors to support different styles of pole dancing/aerials, but one of my favourite aspects of this studio is their commitment to support sexual expression in a safe, welcoming and supportive space!

The Chrome Academy was my first choice for pole dancing class ~ I was so impressed with my first few lessons I made the extra effort to drive over an hour each way to get there. The staff and “Chromies” I found to be equally supportive and cheerful. Highly recommend if seeking an environment to let your hair down (or tie it up) have a laugh, set some goals and make it happen.

I have been attending the Chrome Academy since their beginning days in Plimmerton. They started with 6 poles and now have double that PLUS an awesome Lyra & silk studio. I am no spring chicken (an old lady with broken shoulders and knees haha) and I love attending class. The instructors are all beautiful people both inside and out and give you lots of tips and encouragement. I am a midsized person and have grown in body confidence since attending. It is a very supportive environment and when I’m feeling down on myself I am pulled up by the people around me.

Home truly is where the Chrome is at the chrome academy.I have loved every single class taught across both their locations. They have a diverse range of instructors who each have their own amazing strengths in pole dancing from strength and tricks to sensual and sexy.This community is super supportive and all about empowering others to be the best that they can be. As someone who has struggled with ongoing depression, anxiety and body image issues. I began my pole journey as a place of self discovery and acceptance. The friendships and connections I have made along the way have allowed me to feel strong in my own self image and allowed me to feel confident about my physical appearance and appreciate my luscious curves.I couldn't have asked for a more amazing safe space to explore these aspects of myself. <3

The Chrome Academy is a lovely and inviting place with such a variety of people who come through the doors. The Co owners Lara and Layla are the most kindest welcoming people Ive ever met! Ive really enjoyed the classes and been welcomed into the community. When I feel down someone is always there to pick me up and when I succeed in acing a move they are all there to cheer me on.

The Chrome Academy is an amazing studio with the most supportive community you could ask for. Since starting there I have grown more comfortable in my own skin and have felt an endless stream of encouragement and support. I feel so grateful to be part of a community that is so ready to celebrate the wins and help you back up after you fall (sometimes literally). The variety of classes means there are lots of things to try and with a group of incredible instructors every class is different. There have absolutely been moments of discomfort along the way as there is for everyone but the judgement free environment along with encouragement from the teachers and peers to push myself means I have achieved so much more than I thought I was capable of. I would (and do) recommend The Chrome Academy to anyone and everyone, you will learn and grow so much.

Absolutely love The Chrome Academy. A beautifully designed studio with a welcoming atmosphere, brilliant instructors and an inclusive, fun approach to teaching aerial arts. I love that the studio is quite performative and we're encouraged to film our progress, and each other. But also the studio is just as suitable for people who have other goals. I love being able to see my progress in strength, coordination, flexibility and confidence. The timetable is nicely varied too. Highly recommend for private bookings/hens parties too! Thanks Chrome :)
