Grand Suites Lake Tekapo

Car broke down at the springs, roadside assistance was being a nightmare, had to book emergency accommodation, we chose Grand Suites Lake Takepo.Luckily we did as Dave and Sue came to the rescue! They went above and beyond to pick us up from the springs with all our luggage so we didn’t have to walk 20mins with 4 bags. They gave us the best room possible for that night to make sure we had a relaxing place after our stressful afternoon.10/10 will recommend to family and friend a when visiting Lake Takepo.Thankyou again Dave and Sue.

I would give 10 out of 5 stars.I had a wonderful 6 nights/days stay at Lake Tekapo. Not only because of the beautiful nature. In the one-bedroom apartment I felt like home. Stylishly furnished and super clean rooms, extremly comfortable bed and everything you need in terms of equipment. The hosts, Sue & Dave did everything to ensure I had a relaxing & wonderfull week! I just love that place and the apartments and can highly recommend it.

Our stay at this lovely hotel was the highlight of our visit to New Zealand. The room was almost as beautiful as the view. We absolutely loved the shower. I only wish we had more time to utilize the well stocked kitchen. We highly recommend and would stay again if we are fortunate enough to return to the area. Kia ora!

I highly recommend The Grand Suites Lake Tekapo!!! The quality of accommodation is excellent. The suites have been completed to a very high standard. Everything feels brand new. The views and location are incredible. The town is beautiful. Such an incredible stay. Thank you so much to the hosts. They did an excellent job.We are a family or 5 with 3 small children and the Grand Suites fitted our needs perfectly. Will definitely return one day!!

I highly recommend this accommodation. Brand new with a beautiful aesthetic. Super comfortable apartments with large bedrooms and living spaces. Beds were comfy and the shower excellent. The hosts were really friendly and so helpful. You couldn’t do better. We look forward to returning.

My wife and I were on the South Island traveling for over 3 weeks and we were looking for a spot where we could land, unpack and enjoy the location for a couple of days. We happened to find Grand Suites Lake Tekapo and booked a room online. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the managers and they immediately made us comfortable in our new accommodations.The suites are brand new and everything about the place is first-class. We cooked our own meals and found everything we needed to prepare our meals and enjoy the stunning views that surround the lake.There is so much to do and see in the area including easy access to Mt Cook National Park and great fly fishing in the area.We liked it so much that we ended up staying 5 nights and regretted when it was time to leave.We will be back next year and stay even longer and can't wait to get back.By the way ... the king bed was as comfortable as any that we have ever slept on.

The grand suites are a remarkable place to stay at. There are so many things that are just more than perfect and definitely exceeding our expectations. I'm gonna name a few. The building looks really nice and the rooms are even nicer. They have a large balcony, the cosiest and biggest bed, a beautiful bathroom... The fully equipped kitchen is tres chic as well and offers everything you need (coffee machine, kettle, mugs and surprisingly SHARP knives.. Haven't had that before at any place...)The views are superb, the rooms are well isolated and you don't hear a sound (even when it's directly located at the street). The ac is extreme silent and not directed at the bed so you can leave it on at night and won't notice it. They do have guest laundry which we didn't use but it looked super clean.What makes it super special are the kind and helpful owners who are just a delight. Thanks for having us, we'll definitely be back.

Wonderful hotel and location. The rooms have a kitchenette with pots and pans, dishes, etc. Most of the restaurants were closed when we arrived so we went to the grocery store and we were able to make lunch, dinner and breakfast for ourselves. When on vacation for a long period of time there is nothing like your favorite dish cooked your way. The shower is great. The balcony views are awesome.

The room we stayed was thoroughly clean, modern stylish and breathtaking view from window, which made us luxury and relax. The lake is just a few minutes from the hotel on foot so that we were able to watch beautiful stars till midnight. Hosts are so friendly and kind enough to help us, even our car trouble.We’ll definitely stay there again.

Absolutely lovely accommodation and has got to be the favourite place to stay in our trip in South NZ. We were given the 2 bedroom apartment and the kitchen was well equipped with all things necessary for cooking. Although only 1 bathroom is provided, it comes with a jet spray bathtub. Take note laundry services are provided at the cost of a fee.Car can be parked right outside the apartment. The living room door opens up to opposite Lake Tekapo and its a short walk to the Lake Tekapo Maclaren Footbridge and Church of The Good Shepherd where u can spot some residents hares hopping around and the famous sheepdog memorial.
