Kaikoura Night 'n Day

I arrived at my motel in Kaikoura around 10.30pm after a very long wait in traffic due to the snow. Was hungry looking for something hot and asked the woman behind the counter if they had any pies I could heat up or anything hot. She looked very unimpressed and unfriendly replying no we don’t and we close in 3 minutes. I get the staff want to go home at such a late hour but a little kindness and understanding would go a long way.

Chips were cold, soggy with no seasoning. Chicken kabab over cooked dry, oily and cold. Hot food should be served hot. Food ended up in the bin. Never again.

Ice Cream - 2 scoops (were like 4) for 4.50 Dollars. Really nice staff!

The 2 on at night make their mochas so full of choc powder you can not drink it..both young..hav told the young girl but nxt time you are in does the same thing...lovely clean shop though an others that work there are lovely..

Just stopped there on way to chchA rude lady told me miss 3 and Mr 5 had to wear masks and sign inI told her that under 12s do not need to wear masks and they at 3yr and 5ys do not need to sign IShe told me store is not a school and if we were at supermarket we wld have to have kids with masks and they wld need sign in.She was rude aggressive upset my 2 young grandchildrenI told her to check rules she refused.We left buying nothing from thereVery upsetting mostly for kidsWill never ever returnUNBELIEVABLEUpdate...The owner of the store contacted me thru fbShe apologized and assured me the staff member will be taught the correct information on children wearing masks and signing in.

Worst mocha I ever had . All I can taste was chocolate . Staff doesn't know how to treat their customer .Won't be back

Went here tonight at 10.38pm Friday the 7th of October 2022 was served by the grumpiest old bag ever, seriously needs to get a job where she doesn’t deal with customers I’m shocked. She is damaging your business and I would sack her ASAP the Asian gentleman that made my coffee was really friendly. Get rid of Karen and your sales will improve.

Been in shop this morning waited for 5 mins she was making coffee n taking to another customer about her personal life didn’t ask me what I wanted felt ignored by her so left
