Majestic - Rolleston Fields

Cute new place in Rolleston. I loved the details in the decoration, from the light and calm colour on the walls to the Boiseries ☺️. Their cabinet is organised, not crowded. I noticed that the place is a bit cold because the back door has to be opened all the time if there are customers sitting outside. I ordered the classic French toast and it was delicious! The toast wasn’t crunchy but really soft and gold outside (see photo), I loved it. Coffee was good. The flowers details on their cups is adorable!

Nice wee place nice coffee, however 3 of us went for lunch, we all ordered toasted sandwiches, 2 sandwiches arrived promptly however one had the wrong fillings in it, it was taken back to the kitchen, 40 minutes later we were still waiting for the correct filling sandwich to arrive along with the 3rd one that was ordered! In the 40 minute wait other customers arrived had their lunches delivered. Finally I went to ask where they were? It certainly was not because they were short of staff, there were plenty of them, nor because they we inundated with customers!We opted to get our money back and went elsewhere, disappointing as it is a cute place, not sure I’d go back again after this experience though!

Can be noisy. Was better as afternoon went on. Lovely food and staff. Cabinet food very reasonable and staff answered questions without fuss and accurately

An OK experience. They were busy and we appreciate that. Which explained the food delay. We were a little perplexed about the denial of moving two tables together for a larger group of us (6) as there were no singular tables big enough available. We were denied this option and they moved already dining customers to one of the smaller tables to accomodate us.That was even more surprising given they were willing to disrupt another diner as opposed to joining two tables together. I can only assume there was another reason why we couldn’t join two tables and and have plenty of room.We ended up moving shortly after that anyway as the table made available was too small for us to fit and not encroach on the neighbouring people.Food was good, coffee was OK. Hard to hear others talking around the table due to the noise. Not sure if the acoustics were quite right and maybe this can be considered to be improved.Our friends showed up and sat at the neighbouring table. They only ordered coffee and had to wait 30 mins, just for Coffee. Which seemed to be lengthy even being busy.Some positives :)The girls at the counter was pleasant and helpful.Our daughter had a bit of a fall and she came to check in her and gave her a marshmallow to cheer her up.Food did take a long time (over an hour) but was yum.Outdoor area looked inviting in warmer weather. Blankets offered was a good touch.Would give it another crack as we believe that first times aren’t always a good reflection of “always”. It’s a new business and it can be challenging to get stuff embedded early. Hopefully reviews and feedback can help with this :).Keeping the new business in mind and not overacting with one “snapshot in time”, we went with a 4/5 review score. Likely more a 3/5 but we also understand how detrimental these can be to overall good for review scoring.Will be back again for another crack :).

Visited for morning coffee and scones. Coffee was decent however the food was cold. The scone wasn't heated although offered and requested, and the cheese roll was soggy. Seems to have been heated in the microwave which was disappointing. Would have been great if it was crispy on the outside. Providing feedback as hopefully some points to improve on.

Beautiful place. My first time there by myself and I felt welcomed. Staff were lovely and friendly and the teapot was a perfect size. The French toast was beautiful, cream, berries, bananas & syrup were just perfect. French toasts were so yummy, soft and fluffy , it just went so well with the extras. I ate outside and they provided nice blankets , how considerate. I’d go back. Thanks Majestic!

Delicious food and amazing drinks! Always craving the hot chocolates! Staff are kind and lovely too! Definitely recommend it if you haven't tried it!

Visited this morning for bunch with friends.Ordered the eggs Benedict and it was the best I've had in a while, it was busy but we were advised of this and food came out in a timely manner.Food tasted delicious and staff were warm and welcoming.Can't wait to make this our local spot.Belgian hot chocolate is an absolute must Try!!

Absolutely amazing and so delicious! Went today and the customer service was awesome will go back for seconds for sure.
