Half Price Cabs

I had no choice but to give it 1 star. They went around the farthest place I wanted to go. I have been using taxis in this area for 4 years. knows the way Of course, the taxi cost more than doubled. never use this taxi

I took a cab from the airport to CBD on Thursday afternoon. I had researched the price so expected that it would be anywhere between $22-30 (the journey was ~5-6km). On entering the CBD the unidentified driver asked whether I had cash (I said no) to which he said he would stop at an ATM (to which I said no). I then thought something was dodgy so asked how much he was hoping to get from me to which he said it will be $60!! He stated that the prices had gone up that afternoon (how convenient!). I advised him to stop the car and then needed to tell him I would call the police if he did not stop. He conceded and took my last $10 note and another $40 EFTPOS before he would release the boot. This driver had no ID and the meter was by the driver's door. I emailed the company from their website and have followed up today to be provided with a gmail address for the fleet manager" and an apology to say they could not discuss this with me. I would rather crawl on my knees than get into another 1/2 price cab (which is not factually true). Extremely dodgy. I would avoid them at all costs"

Bro was in Flaxmere I was at havelock maccas he called me up and said he was on his way almost 40 minutes later and he’s no where to be seen. Tried to call them up again to see where he was but the automated booking system wouldn’t let me talk to an operator. Not happy!

Did not arrive at all. Driver called and asked where my drop off was, and hung up. No further contact. I guess they decided that the fare was not enough for them. Needless to say I wont be using this service again.

I have booked a taxi at 8am for my kids who are going to school with this half price cabs last June 15th, 2022. But no one turned up. Worse, they did not even inform me that they could not send any driver and my kids waited for 30minutes and ended up being late to school. When I called them, they do not sound apologetic and did not treat it as an urgency to provide a driver soon so i just cancelled the booking and book at cab4 Taxi which they provided a driver in 10mins.Not a good impression for a first time client, should have trusted your reviews.

They wanted cash only from my 88yr old father who only uses his card. So he got them to let him out as he couldn't pay so he walked for miles. Tried to call them to discuss this but you can't talk to a person. Very annoyed
