Hamid did an amazing job cleaning and restoring an old kilim purchased in Kabul some years ago We had it in storage for a year and were concerned about its condition. He also brought back to life a contemporary hall runner that we thought had lost its colour permanently. He is a real professional and a lovely, friendly chap to deal with. I rang Hamid to get a free, no obligation quote on cleaning and possibly repairing a Persian rug that I purchased recently on Trademe. I had no expectation on the cost but like most Kiwis I'm not an expert on Persian rugs. I approached him with a budget in mind that I did not wish to exceed especially on top of the purchase price of the rug. I also listened to his expertise on what was required to restore the rug back to its glory days! In summary the quote was much higher than I anticipated and my heart sank bigtime.But then Hamid took the time to confirm that my rug purchase was an authentic Iranian handwoven 60-70 year old Persian rug that was still in good condition for its age but also its value was high. He asked really pertinent questions as to the fundamental use of the rug in my home to which I replied under a coffee table. Hamid then advised various ways to maintain and preserve the rug overtime. He gave his opinion and his advice on my options and left me to decide. The key element was explaining the delicate process and numerous labor hours required to clean and repair a rug without compromising its quality, as opposed to a typical quick machine clean by companies at a cheaper price. The great thing about Hamid is that he doesn't do shortcuts nor does he push the hardsell on you to grab your business. Its about the quality of his work matching the needs and expectation of the client.Hamid is a trusted professional and very knowledgeable in this industry. At the very least you should seriously consider his advice and services when shopping around. Its also a bonus that he's a nice guy.

Thanks Hamid for doing such a great job. I have used Hamid in the past to clean a Moroccan rug (he worked magic on the stains), and the clean he did was fantastic. Excellent service! Hamid is very friendly and helpful and really knows his stuff when it comes to rugs. Don't waste your time looking around for other cleaners as Hamid is the best we have found! Hamid removed the cat urine odour from our expensive rug and the stain as well, previous cleaner had not been able to do that. Thank you Hamid.

Hamid is THE BEST!!!! Truly a Rug Guru! Don’t make the mistake I did, taking them to the Persian Rug Gallery first, only to have our largest, most expensive rug Ruined by them! Hamid was able to restore the ruined rug to its original state and make our other rugs look and feel FABULOUS! He uses the term “happy Rug and Happy Colours”. I didn’t get it until the rugs were returned to me. Now, when I stand on them, I get HAPPY FEET. I’m not exaggerating...Hamid is the BEST! If you value your rugs, take them to Hamid!

Be careful with this guy. I think most of these reviews are fake. He comes across very friendly but his fees are at least 2x industry standard. He quotes very fast, shows up immediately and unless you know, you don't really process how expensive his quote is. Gets very angry when questioned about his fees. To be fair, does a nice job yes - but not really an honest trader. Be careful. 100% legit review. NOT SPAM
