I found the team here to be friendly and helpful. This yard is for collection of smaller amounts - copper, lead, brass,aluminum and Batteries and will accept these being dropped off by the public. The other yard in Onehunga (near Angle street) is for truckloads of commercial scrap mainly steel.

I wanted to dispose an oven. I expected I can get a couple of dollars as for scraps. But they asked me to pay $40 after they weighted me again. Then I picked up my oven again from the rubbish and went to another place, I got $4.
