Alpha Time - Watch & Clock Repairs

A couple of weeks ago, Ash did a full overhaul of my clock, including replacing all the bearings. It now runs like new. Excellent work. Very happy. Thank you, Ash.

Ash is the real deal!!! You know the minute you walk into his workshop this is no average watch repairer. The sheer number of expensive clocks and equipment is different to any place I've seen before. To put into perspective the levels of this game...I originally took my watch to a mister minit in Australia for a battery change...whereby they damaged it but would refuse to admit it. I then took it to a highly rated watch repairer in Auckland( won't name him as he was very lovely and deserves all the business that comes his way). He attempted to fix it but said he couldn't and I would need to send it back to Gucci to fix and it would cost $1000 to $2000. I decided before i went down that path I needed to at least try and find a real expert locally...someone who could reverse engineer clocks could surely fix my watch issue where mister minit had originally damaged the dial while replacing the battery. This is where Ash really shone through with not only his extremely pleasant demeanour but his level of expertise and yes he did fix it and for only $230 with a new battery as the one it had just received was extremely poor quality and serviced it as well as fixed the waterproof seals mister minit had damaged.The moral of the story...don't take $7500 watches to Mister minit or the average watch repairer. I have now learnt that horologists like Ash are very rare.So if you have a clock or watch of great value either sentimentally or $ be sure to get Ash to fix it.

I found Ash after looking for a clock repairer for this little vintage travel alarm.The clock needed a service and parts. It took a long time finding the parts but the result is excellent.Ash went above and beyond to find parts. His drive and passion is obvious.He has some beautiful clocks on display at their location.On another occasion he repaired and serviced my daily mechanical watch. Again faultless work!I am happy with his work and I will continue to use Ash services.

Ash persisted in getting the little ‘bubbles’ rotating and it’s been going very well now for more than a month.The clock is not an expensive one, but I wanted it fixed as it was my late mother’s favourite. Thanks Ash.

I needed an old railway clock to be returned to working order. I contacted Ash, who assured me he could repair it. I was so impressed with Ash's passion and dedication for clock repairs. He did a fabulous job, and the clock is now ticking away as it once did in Wellington railway station. Furthermore, Ash advised me that he can repair my great grandfather's 19th century pocket watch, when other horologists said it could not be repaired. Ash did an amazing job of fixing our special clock. He took the time to show us how to care for it going forward. Great service with a smile. Although I didn’t have a’proper’ clock Ash was still interested in the history of the 25 year old Mondaine battery operated wall clock I needed a new mechanism for. He’s quick, reasonably priced and friendly. My 25 year old Tag Heuer watch will be going there next.
