Good service cheap would highly recommend

We needed new tyres for our camper van and visited various auto shops around Nelson. U-Save tyres offered us $115 each tyre including everything, but after visiting Scotty he said $105 each but we had to wait until next Monday. We weren’t in a hurry so he ordered the tyres and we came back today and dropped off the van to get the two tyres put on. Upon picking up the van Scotty now says they were $125 each... he denies what he said over and over and doesn’t apologize or anything just very sternly remarks thats what he said and defends his stance saying he would never make money if he did them for $105. So we waited around for 3 days for the anticipated savings and then realized we had to pay $40 more than originally discussed. Too late now, but to any people needing new tyres in Nelson I would not recommend visiting here because we were deceived. I recommend going to U-save they had much friendly customer service and are very straight up about pricing.

We had organised with Scotty for 2 tyres to be put on our van and he really disappointed us. When we first went to see him, he quoted us $105/tyre, didn’t mention anything about whether that would include GST or not. We had even written down his quoted price and felt it was the best price for our situation (we’re backpackers and have limited funds). He told us that the tyres had to be ordered and to come back on Monday. He was always curt whenever we spoke to him in person and on the phone. When we went back today to get the tyres put on, he barely acknowledged us and didn’t even attempt any form of customer service. When we returned after he finished the job, he told us that the total was $250. We were shocked because we thought we were only paying $210 in total and he insisted that he told us $125 when we first consulted him. This devastated us because USave Tyres down the road told us it would be $115/tyre including GST AND they were much friendlier than Scott AND could’ve done the job there and then with new tyres. I would highly NOT recommend going to Scott’s because of our poor experience with him; you will surely get much better customer service and prices elsewhere.

Has 4 tyres fitted to my car. Service Awesome. Price great. Saved several hundred dollars over last set fitted. Highly recommend

Man of few words but an excellent mechanic. Taken my van and my car to him all the time and have no complaints ever. Thank you heaps scotty.

Not a man of many words, his work stands for itself and it is excellent. If you are looking for a top quality high end job then Scott is spot on. Straight up and down and will be clear about pros and cons of repairs and prices. Check out his Facebook page for some of the high end work he does (V8's and the like).

Excellent Mechanic, very knowledgeable , Honest and easy to deal with.I ran a neighbouring business back when Scotty operated in Nelson, so had many interactions with him. A good guy!

Scotty is a very nice, friendly and helpful guy. When we needed him he helped us. For example we had a problem and called him after his working times. He came back to have a look! He showed us everything what needs to be fixed, so that we could have a look by ourselves. And after we have leaved the garage he messaged us to ask if everything is fine! I highly recommend him. He doesn't want you to pay for nothing! Thank you so much!
