I required some roadside service via my insurance company today 29/10/19.(Keys locked in car sigh"!).I received a link to provide feedback to my mobile but wasn't sure about this so preferred to post a review here. Right from me contacting my insurance company (AMI) to the mechanic (Scott?)sorting my issue (very quickly) the service was outstanding from both. The mechanic was friendly and professional and appeared very happy going about his work. Highly recommend Bowlers Motors Ltd

Was told to take it down at a certain time so i did then i was told they couldnt do it at that time and to bring it back so i did that again then they told me again they couldnt do it an to bring it back again whats the point in ringing an making a booking when they dont stick to it not happy at all the job i also wanted done would have only taken 10 mins not even that i would not recommend taking your car there at all

Our pre purchase vehicle inspection reporting was unsatisfactory. Refusal to give a written report or checklist was not explained when booking the check. There was poor verbal communication given in the absence of the written report. In all, we were left not knowing whether the car was worth purchasing or not which defeated the entire process.

All I wanted was advice on a specific engine oil for a friend’s car. What I found was incredible, kind and helpful service from Aaron. He sorted me out with the good oil. He Even put it in the engine for me A++

Dave came to us after our battery wouldnt start the car. Immediately he diagnosed a loose terminal connection and an old battery. Fortunately for us, he was able to jump start the car and open his shop to replace the battery for us. 10/10 would use his workshop for all my car needs if we were in the same town. (His wife is a lovely lady too BTW!)

Owner came down after hours (on Sunday morning) as I'd accidentally taken a chunk out of my tyre. Wanted to see if I could get it swapped as needed to drive back to Wellington that afternoon. Unfortunately they didn't have the tyre in stock so couldn't swap then and there but the owner advised that it wasn't too bad and would be safe to drive back to Wellington on. Incredibly helpful and nice gentleman. Would be my local if I lived in Otaki.

This place completely overcharged for a routine service. Make sure to double check prices before going to this place and seriously consider going somewhere else. I'm sure they will make their boat payment and enjoy their Christmas on what they charged us. They held our car hostage to payment as well. is there a way to give less than one star?

Dave is a pro. Got my WOF at Bowler a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. The car needed a few repairs to pass inspection and Dave walked me through every step of the way, explaining what needed to be fixed and why, and even showing me behind the scenes when I asked. Straight up and honest. Highly recommend
