Vic's Cafe
Old and tiered but the food is nice.Had the big breakfast and some baked goods. The breaky was indeed big. The potato cake was not great and there was no butter for the bread roll.

Looked good on the way in, busy, good mix of age groups. The staff were friendly and the service was pretty quick. Ordered two big breakfasts and got a big disappointment. The toasted focaccia had no butter, the potato hash was a dry argument and the eggs were fried on both side so not much yolk to moisten the toast. And the major sin: only one Kranskie! An hour later and it's sitting like a lead ball. Won't be back.

Looking forward to nutty porridge all year. Check web. It says serving til 2 or 2.30pm. I am thinking yummy!Gets there just after 10am and they have just finished serving at 10am. WT.....!Coffee arrived after the meal. One tasted like they had not changed the coffee grinds and ran a 2nd coffee through the same grinds.We had 2 coffees made together with same milk. So why did one taste like battery acid.Gonna give these a miss from now on.

Great food and service! It was really nice to revisit this cafe after a decade.A wee bit crowded and loud when I was there, but that only means it's super popular!!

Great choice of breads, absolutely love focaccia - the best in the city. Im a regular customer, now addicted to brioche and raspberry/ blueberry custard rolls ( baked only on Fridays). Very popular place, always full, good menu, everything is fresh (open kitchen, so you can watch the chefs cooking your meals). Great place to meet a friend or enjoy lunch. Very friendly stuff. Highly recommended!
