My son and I had popped over from the US to visit with our family here in NZ and there was only one place everyone wanted to go, the Jamaica Blue Cafe. My mum is in a wheel chair and needed special arrangements, the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We had a large group and the service and food was perfect. Thank you for making this family reunion a wonderful experience.

Family owned business, hard working people. Ample parking in front. Really firmly staff and nice unique coffee. This one has been around since the Mall opened whilst others come and go. One of the favourites. Sunny location for both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended. Food hygiene rating is A. Awesome.

Used to be our favourite coffee shop in silverdale. Now they do not offer scones or muffins which are such a favourite with everyone. So we will not go there from now on, shame..

The food looks good. My sister's Avo was so hard she couldn't cut it with a knife. My eggs were too runny. My toast wasn't even toasted. The staff are lovely though

Not impressed. Asked for fish and chips. Two good sized pieces of fish and tiny string chips. But.... Fish from a Birds Eye Packet?? Was a bit of crumbed packaged fish and very tasteless. Absolutely awful. Chips were hardly big enough to pick up with a utensil. Do not recommend paying for a meal like that again. Will not be back!!

Coffee was good. Food was pretty poor and stupidly overpriced for what we got (toasted sanwich and the big brekkie)

Ordered 2 x large Mochas and 1 fluffy takeaway. Most expensive coffee and fluffy I have ever paid for. $6.80 for a Mocha which was only half full with no choc dusting.$2.50 for a fluffy in the smallest takeaway cup I had ever seen and no spoon, what a joke. Don’t waste your time money here.

I had an awful experience in Jamaica Blue “Silverdale”.. The egg was below the average and the knife was not cleaned enough and spoiled my breakfast as shown in the picture.. I don’t recommend to visit this coffee.

Even one star is too generous. I always had a gripe with the balsamic? Reduction on the salad. I always found the young servers helpful and engaging but recently there must have been change in management and I don't get that Warm friendly engaging conversation. Menu could do with an overhaul. I ordered the eggs benny. They were cold, overcooked eggs and hollandaise tasted like vinegar. Worse ever!Another visit and 1 of the servers was plaiting the others hair in the the eating area. The place was filthy. So sad because it's a lovely location.

We had a great meeting here recently for a business meeting. The flat whites were perfect temperature and they had some great cabinet options that everyone enjoyed. Very spacious outdoor area, loads of parking right outside and the cafe and some very helpful staff. Highly recommend to all.James AshwinKakapo Business Sales
