Hooker Valley Track
A long but enjoyable walk with a toilet block at about halfway and 3 fantastic suspension bridges spanning glacier rivers. A great view of the lake and Mount Cook at the end.

Nice and easy flat walk put to a lake with glacial icebergs with Mount Cook as a backdrop. Three longish suspensions bridges on the way, always enjoy a good suspension bridge. Good walk for families and/or the more senior of us.

Really stunning views of Mt. cook and the lakes. You go across 3 swing bridges and the whole way you are just in awe. The parking was bit tricky as we went on sunny Sunday, but managed to park along the road. It took us less than two hours to go out and back with stopping a lot along the way to take pictures. It’s super easy track- just walking on the flat pathway. Definitely worth it though. Will come back for the amazing views of Mount Cook.

Absolutely beautiful, allow enough time to hike if you seldom hike as it may take longer than 3 hours. Avoid hiking after sunset, you cannot see anything.

Fantastic hike with incredible views! I especially loved the 3 suspension bridges and views of the glacial lakes. Try and go on a clear day, although the fog and mist made for a cool effect, we didn't get the best view of the mountains.

I went for this lovely trek during winter. So this very easy trek quite quickly becomes a moderate one. The winds are strong and the rains are constant. So dress up accordingly. The last point is totally worth the bearing the elements even in peak winter.

One of the best 3 hour hikes I have done in my lifetime. Take some sunscreen and wear a hat as there's no shade.I recommend having a refreshing drink at the Hermitage Hotel - Sir Edmund Hillary Cafe afterwards.Easy hike, parking was limited at noon, but there's always people coming and going.

Very scenic track. Avoid it between 11am and 2pm, unless you like to walk with a lot of other people. The landscape is magnificent, the river stunning and the views breathtaking.
