Alpine Lodge
We had a lovely stay at the Alpine Lodge. The food at the restaurant was amazing. It had a good range, from affordable pizza to more fine dining and modern cuisine. Not something you expect in a little alpine village. A great range of wine and beer too. Our room had good views and amenities were fine. I gave room a lower rating just because it is outdated and needs new carpet (it was clean, just worn). But no real complaints. Would highly recommend.

Alpine Lodge
We stayed at the backpackers for 2 nights and a tent for 1 night. Amazing place. The backpackers is clean, good showers, kitchen is full of everything you need and plenty of common space to relax. Went across to the lodge for dinner and really enjoyed our meals there as well.This had been our second time there and we will definitely be back. Thank you Gail and Richard for all your help.

We came to dinner last night and we found a classy but warm place with a wide choice of dishes, all as tempting as each other!The waitresses were lovely, the setting is neat, the dishes are simply delicious and well worth the price!The sticky date pudding for dessert is the best I've had so far! Yum!Thank you for this good time!

Me and my wife loved our stop here. We came in for dinner as we were passing by.We were greeted by the friendly staff who looked after us really well.The views from the big windows were spectacular.The food was even more amazing. Just full of flavour and was delicious.The price matched the portion and taste.Would gladly go back here again.

An absolute must-do visit any time you're going to the lake or passing through. I make the extra detour to come via St Arnaud every time I head south from Nelson, specifically to come here for their divine pizzas, great scotch selection and a few games of pool. Just the whole warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Alpine Lodge has embedded this place in my heart

At first we thought it was a little pricey but we didn't have much choice for dinner in town. So we went there and what a good surprise! The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and nice. Also the chocolate chip cookies are incredible, I went back twice the following day to get some more! If I was leaving next to this place that would be my weekly restaurant for sure!

Alpine Lodge
We often do overnight trips into the nelson lakes, and Alpine Lodge is our go to lace, before and afterwards.The accommodation is always clean, beds comfortable, food is amazing, staff are awesome.We often leave our car parked here while doing our overnight trips, they offer safe secure parking for a small fee . What’s not to like .It’s our must stop on the way to Nelson , even if it’s just a coffee .
