Fantasy Korean BBQ

The food was delicious 10/10. I really enjoyed the cooking experience (first timer). Loved the tofu I had with my seafood. The variety of food was pretty good. My two problems were differing of prices from their FB page to their in store prices. However we did get free drinks because of this and we were happy with that outcome. Also no desert. But other than that I left full, that’s the main thing.

Tried to make a booking for the same night at 3+pm (while they were closed), and was pleasantly surprised to received a call-back an hour later to confirm us for a dinner reservation at 5.30pm.We arrived and was promptly led to our table. Place was clean and food fully stocked. Selection was adequate for a Korean BBQ, with several hot food options. Drinks are charged separately, but table water can be taken from the fridge free of charge.The staff came to change our parchment paper for the grill about every half-hourly to ensure that we weren't grilling with too much charred bits on.We paid close to $40 per pax for dinner, which given the prices I have seen for other Korean BBQ places, can be considered fairly reasonable.Several designated parking lots for Fantasy Korean BBQ's customers are both in front and behind the restaurant, which is great considering the lack of parking spaces on the streets.

(Tap to read more below)Btw, I have contacted this restaurant a week ago for dinner reservation as there were heaps of people coming - with table reservation and walk insMe and my friends arrived early (around 5:15 pm) so we tried to wait in the ‘waiting’ area, the lady (in the photo) IDK what got into her but she was plainly rude in terms of communication and the way she speaks, in an elevated tone ‘We are still closed. Did you even book a reservation?!’ I politely said, YesTold myself, ‘you really don’t have to raise your voice that way’ (strike 1)When the time came 5:30, I paid directly for 8 people but this lady tried to put us at the end of the restaurant wherein you cannot move freely (to get the food) (that room looks like a kitchen as well) as the room is small for 8 people - I tried to tell her to give us the near table as it was also for 8 people but she said ‘No!’I asked her if we could choose a table which is suitable for us but she appeared mad.That time, I feel a bit frustrated for my friends and I who just wants to have a good time and enjoy their but cannot due to the table setting (strike 2)Her other colleague (had a hard time understanding us and cannot speak english properly) looked confused and upset to usMy other friend who arrived 10 minutes after, saw our table situation and told me that something does not feel right - why is our table like this and not the same as the ones in the front, so we went to this cashier again and explained to her that we booked this reservation a week ago and we deserve the front seats as they were 8 chairs as well for 8 people - but I don’t know she could not understand our plea and was just ignoring us.I’ve explained to her that I paid first so she could just simply put us in a near table or better yet put us at the other table wherein we could ‘move freely’ to get our foodAfter eating our buffet, my friend heard another customer requesting if they can choose a table which is suitable for them and the cashier just said ‘yeah sure no problem’See?! Racist much?Food was nice tho but the experience??? After all we’ve been through? Nah. Don’t treat your customers like that.The staff, they are not friendly and cannot understand english that much. I’m giving them this rating 2/5

Had dinner with my friends on a sunday night. Had a wide variety of cooked food and raw meat & veggies. The place can be quite crowded and you will be asked to leave when your time is up.

Had one of the best times with my colleagues at this restaurant. the price is great even in this cost of goods crisis and the food is plentiful. the staff are awesome and even when they're very busy and i must say i have never seen a huge stack of plates vanish within minutes. if you love Korean food or love meat they will not disappoint. will 100% be coming back to this awesome place and i can't wait to eat that kimchi with lamb when i return.

Booked for party of 30 to celebrate an 18th birthday, $38 for an adult, drinks are purchased separately. Great variety of cooked dishes on offer, loved the Korean chicken and a large selection of meats, vegetables and other sides for the BBQ. Attentive service, tables were cleared fast and BBQ paper changed frequently. Gets very busy, so booking in advance is advised. Would definitely recommend for a good Korean BBQ experience.

An interesting BBQ restaurant. Although the name includes Korean" and the food were Korean food available as a buffet. There was a subtle hint of different flavours that did not make the food taste authentic.If authenticity of being Korean food

Had high expectations but didn't meet my expectations.None of the meats, even marinated meats were not tastly.Salads were minimal. Only softy after lunch was good.Not worth for $35 for a buffet meal.
