2nd Avenue Health Centre

Wait wasn’t too long and the experience was very positive considering it was a doctor’s visit. Receptionist and nurse were lovely and Dr Lillie was exeptional! Attentive, thorough and informative, she gave us peace of mind and clear instructions for next steps. It’s not cheap but it was open and every dollar was worth it.

What a wonderful experience today.... such a lovely welcoming receptionist, made me fee at ease immediately. I hate needles but the lovely lady who took my blood made things painless and fast with fun conversation. Thanks Team.

I paid 80nzd just to wait for 4hours without treatment given.

I have had reason to visit 2nd Avenue Health Centre twice in the last fortnight. The first occasion was Monday of Waitangi Weekend when the clinic was very busy. Yes, it was a bit of a wait but I expected this and as my complaint was non urgent, in the respect that I was not in extreme pain or very ill, I was prepared that others who maybe came in after me would be seen prior. The staff were very caring from reception to nursing to the doctor who saw me and also the radiologist. The second visit a week later on a Saturday was also very positive experience with no wait and again courteous helpful treatment.Thank you to all at 2nd Avenue Health Centre. You provide an excellent service often under extreme pressure.

Good to have an emergency clinic in townSometimes waiting is too long but not complain for the hard work.Receptions are normally okay but some are rude. But usually the doctors and nurses are nice

Doctors are great, waiting time is not bad. Call first to confirm costs as they are quite expensive unless you have Covid symptoms which will be no charge if it was investigated as Covid patient. Weekend cost for medical reason is about $100 ea.

The worst service I have ever had. I went on August 31, the doctor who attended me didn’t prescribe me the treatment I always use, because she said, she could lose her medical license, she offered me to do a lab test, and with that result she could prescribe me something, and they could send me the prescription via email (so she said), she also said that they would call me probably in two days, and the results would be ready. A week passed and no one called me, I had to call repeatedly and indeed they already had the results, but they could not give me anything and they would be communicating with me, i talked with 2 different nurses who asked me exactly the same with Nike week of difference, mo sense, they have kept me like this all this time, they suggested me to come back and I had to pay again so another Dr could prescribe me something, a complete mockery, I paid 80 dollars for the worst service ever provided, and still they pretend that I pay again for it. As of today September 16th I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE FROM THIS HEALTH CENTER. What a horrible service you give to your customers, to assume that we all have our own GP's or that we can afford to pay for every time situations like this happen (because of you) just shows a lack of empathy and professionalism.

I got an X-ray done on my leg and never got a call back from them

The best experience I've had at a medical centre for a very long time. Yes I did have to wait for a while but I was expecting that. Dr Rob was empathetic, thorough and totally brilliant, along with all the nurses and reception staff. Thanks so much!

Very Good Services available for all Enquiries relating to the Publics Health Conditions. Able to see Dr's for serious accidents and treatments. Dental practice is also available at Second Ave Tauranga.
