I couldn't have asked for better service, everyone is so nice at Mortimer Hirst, their service is fantastic. My teen loves her new glasses, the frames suit her face and personality, plus they're great quality. Doctor Aki also specializes in keratoconus, which is an added bonus due to my daughter's eye condition, and the main reason why I chose to take her there. P.S. I appreciate the little bag of extras they gave her. It was a lovely touch.

I was able to get in for an eye appt same day as I flew in from the states and forgot my contacts. I thought I was doomed not being able to see for the rest of my trip but with the help of everyone here, I was able to enjoy the beauty of NZ. I never had the care or kindness from an eye doctor before and I was so elated to know I was in good hands. Dr. Aki was able to get me samples and ordered what I needed for my stay. Can’t thank him and the team enough.

I hav bought the second pair of eyeglasses wear in the shop. The lady who work there is so nice and patient. Such good experience and excellent jobs they do ,definitely come again and again.

I feel very disappointed about this high-end optometrist. I had a pair of lindberg glasses (cost over 1.7k) and it got a bit lose after a while of wearing, which is very normal for glasses. I brought the glasses back to store to adjust.when i got back in office, i realised my frame was badly deshaped! she actually bent the frame to tighten the glasses which I thought was very much unprofessional and incorrect. it also caused the dizziness because she changed the distance of my eyes to the lens........I can't believe this adjustment was performed by such a unwell trained staff.not recommended!

This shop is an untrustworthy 5 star review. I am not sure how the five star rating was earned. The negligence of the non-professional Asian male staff Chris resulted in requiring me to visit the shop twice, so I asked for a refund only to receive an incomplete refund. They had contacted me and offered a rather unreasonable solution. I highly do not recommend this unprofessional shop.

Very fantastic service ! My wife's glasses need's to get repaired and I bring it on this shop.Repair service cost is FREE ! I didn't pay anything !

Best service and highest quality. After sale service is very important with high end glasses. Mortimer Hirst has the best service I have ever received in the 35 years of wearing glasses.Been back for a repair after standing on glasses. AGAIN, great service. Morgan is so helpful. And for my requirements is was 15% cheaper for the higher quality lenses than OPSM. So don’t be fooled by thinking chain stores are better or cheaper.Also, they got my prescription bang on, whereas OPSM got it very wrong twice and took 3.5 months to get the prescription not so wrong.I will always come back here. I dont normally give ratings but I thought this time I have to as I am really happy, grateful and impressed w/ the service and experienced rendered by Mortimer Hirst Optometrist.2 thumbs up to Dr. Tess who is very knowledgeable and examined my eyes thoroughly. Id been to a few optometrist before but never had as great and satisfying eye test experience w/ Dr. Tess. Very grateful also to the receptionist lady who took me in for the last hour appointment (sorry I forgot her name) but Thank you.And I was told my glasses will arrive in a week but 2 days after I received a message advising my glasses are ready for collection - Very impressive!To summarize my experience: You will definitely not leave the place thinking you have been ripped off! I am very happy w/ my glasses! 2 thumbs up to the team. Very worth it.

Chris and the Office staff were very accommodating when I was in Auckland from the US and needed an entire new set of glasses. They got me in near the end of their day, rushed the service, and delivered quality glasses and frames at a reasonable price to my hotel the next day, as I would be on a tour until after they closed for the day. Chris pre adjusted the frames as he knew that I could not be present for the final fitting. The office staff looked up where I could have my glasses repaired near my home in the US. The staff went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend this office
