The Port Molyneux School

This is the perfect place to plan your South Island New Zealand elopement! It has such a romantic seaside atmosphere- with beautifully restored wooden floors and a clean minimalist feel. The garden courtyard area has many native plants, and sleek wooden benches with a chic modern feel with sweet nautical details like paua shells and glass lanterns. As a wedding photographer, I would highly recommend this space. The garden courtyard is perfect for an intimate ceremony with the ocean view just across the road. Each of the indoor rooms feel light and spacious with big picture windows, that would also be another wonderful space for a wedding ceremony. Jade McNab the owner has styled it with the perfect balance of vintage charm and modern minimalism.

Staying in the Headmasters House on the Port Molyneux School is fabulous. Stunning views of the beach from the bedrooms and a wonderful view of the gardens and llama’s from the living/dining room. Great nights sleep in sublime bedrooms that feel luxurious. Would recommend this as a place for anyone to stay. The school is an excellent events venue and is perfect for weddings with great service and astonishing views.

The most incredible place to get married and have a reception. Mary, Crystal, Jade, Gemma and the team there were outstanding. They had everything covered on our big day. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Followed up with an incredible breakfast the morning after. Absolutely fantastic experience. Thank you all so much.

Cannot recommend The Port Molyneux School highly enough. A beautiful venue right by the sea with it's own lovely accommodation.Their biggest asset is the incredible, thoughtful people behind the scenes who made everything so easy and enjoyable from start to finish.We are so unbelievably glad we chose The Port Molyneux School for our wedding, if you do the same you definitely won't regret it!

A great wedding venue to celebrate with friends and family.

Lovely helpful staff, good yummy delicious fresh food .A lovely relaxing setting of a beautifully renovated school house from the past lots of beautiful views of the southern Ocean. We were first time visitors from Hawkes Bay and Christchurch visiting elderly relatives in Balclutha but we stayed in a air bnb in KP kaka point.

The perfect wedding venue. Such a stunning location, very reasonably priced and incredibly friendly staff. We got married here in December 2019 and we couldn't have picked a better venue. Mary is very helpful in organising the day but gives you the freedom and flexibility to do what works for you. 100% recommend!
