This is why you always go somewhere more than once, and never judge them on their first meal. The café layout was lovely lots of wooden furniture and plenty of seating. The menu was short and unique, lots of options for eggs which I love. I had the veggie garden eggs which is spicy hollandaise with poached eggs and avocado on toast.It was not as I expected, which is why I always recommend going somewhere more than once. We have a perception in our heads of how food is supposed to be and sometimes that’s not how it is.I really enjoyed this meal, and love having multiple options for just simple eggs on toast.The coffee was great and my medium size walls. In fact, quite large :-)Will definitely go again and try different options.In today’s post, Covid world, eating out is a luxury due to staff availability. I think we need to remember that. Things may take a little longer, but they taste just as delicious. I went at a slow time of the day, and things arrived quickly, I was lucky.

I'm never disappointed when I come here. We stumbled across the most amazing gluten free scones one day when we were in the area now we drive here specifically for the range of food. Our family is a combination of gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and typical carnivore and this place has the capacity for us all.Usually us omnis have to deal with finding something with a decent gluten free option then having whatever is left, but for us all to have amazing choice for everything is just brilliant.The staff are amazing, so kind, brilliant service, going over and above ...when we reserved a late table, ensuring there would be a vegan option definitely available when we arrived.I'll drive the extra miles for the exquisite food and exceptional service any day.Thank you so much!

Arrived for a late brunch and were not sure what to eat so ordered two spinach omelet with spring onions and fresh tomatoes. The omelets were large, spicy, very cheesy as in delightful with quality melted tasty cheese. The price at $14 each was great value for money and friendly professional service. I would definitely recommend Cafe Soleil.

Every dish is expertly crafted, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients complete with a lick of Spanish - New Zealand fusion that will tantalize your taste buds. I especially enjoyed their gluten-free focaccia which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and stuffed with grilled chicken and a myriad of other Spanish inspired goodness. It was a perfect gluten-free alternative to the traditional.The staff at Cafe Soleil is also a highlight. They are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a pleasant experience. They made sure that my experience was perfect, and I couldn't have asked for more.If you're in Lower Hutt and looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming environment, look no further than Cafe Soleil. Note: I've edited the review in light of signage that I missed explaining some of these issuesOrdered 2 coffees, waited 45 minutes and got no service. We were one of a few parties that ended up walking out without service. It seems like they are having staff issues (which was explained on a peice of paper attached to one of the windows). Until they work out these issues, I would reccomend you go elsewhere.

Warmly welcomed on arrival this morning. Short wait on food.Beautiful atmosphere, weather was miserable but the ambiance inside Soleil made up for it. Loving the rustic benches and tables. Food was beautifully cooked, and tasted so good. Coffee was great also. Highly recommend this spot! Ample (paid) parking roadside. Excellent customer service also

I enjoyed a 2 course lunch, a coffee and a tea. Also read the complementary newspaper. The food was well presented, came quickly and tasted nice. The coffee was good and the tea was lovely. The two staff were friendly and attentive. I recommend Cafe Soleil

I was absolutely thrilled to see so much choice of gluten free products. The cheese scone was perfect along with the apple slice. Gave my husband a bite of the cheese scone he said it was the best he had tasted, he dosnt have to eat gluten free. The staff were extremely helpful and patient while I made my choice I will definitely be back.
