Just had the best days fishing! Helps that Darell knows where to go find the fish, but he also runs a great charter. We had 12 people and his boat easily accommodated us. His gear is great and he even arranged the filleting of the fish for us - not one gram was wasted. Thanks Darell!

I can recommend Megabites Fishing Charter if you are interested in a good day of fishing out of Auckland. The skipper Darell provides a no nonsense, great hospitality, knows the local waters, tides, provides the appropriate rods and tackles which allows for good catches - both in quantity and quality. I went out on the boat on a rainy day in February, but still had an excellent time. Caught about 20 snappers, 10 to keep and two very nice ones too. Thank you.

Big thanks to Darell for an awesome winter's day fishing on the gulf! Darell was relentless in his pursuit of the best grounds - after the first location in the inner gulf went quiet, Darell upped anchor and moved us further out to a great spot that had everyone, no matter how experienced, reeling in Kahawai, snapper, gurnard and even a John Dory. A day of days Darell - big thanks from the Top Chop team :)

Our team has recently went fishing with Darell. Our experience was amazing and he is easy to work with. This lead us to the right place in the first time. We can't believe we have caught 89 fish within one and half hours. Of course we have caught a good size King fish at the end. I would highly recommend if anyone who is looking for any fishing experience, so please don't hesitate to contact Darell.

We booked another fishing trip on Saturday the 15th of July 2023 with Darell at megabytes following previous trips where all on board had experienced a fantastic,safe day on the Hauraki Gulf.Upon meeting Darell at the boat,he gave us a quick safety induction explaining everything that we needed to know and where everything was.Following a speedy cruise out past Waiheke Island he took us straight to a hot spot where the guys all caught some fantastic Snapper and a few other species and by the time we left our quota had been met and the bin was looking good!A superb day on the water was had by all,highly recommended!

Had a fantastic day with Megabites, boat was fast, caught some great fish. Darryl was a great skipper very communicative, friendly and knowledgeable. We had 9 people with disabilities fishing and Darryl made sure we all had a great time. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Had an awesome trip with Darell from Megabites. Went out as a work group of 10 with majority of the group inexperienced in fishing, Darell was a great host and assisted in all aspects. Would definitely recommend the trip, with plenty fish caught.

Went out on the 15th January with Darell and had an epic time. We have our own boats ect and regularly get out and fish the gulf but once in a while it's nice to hop on and off" without the hassle of cleaning the boat ect.. first time out with him and definitely won't be the last! Thanks for the wicked trip mate!!Highly recommend"

Had a great day out on the water with Darryl. Best fishing charter I’ve ever been on! Everyone one on board caught their quota with time to spare. Darryl is a great skipper, really friendly and helpful and went above any beyond to make sure everyone had a good time. Will definitely be going out with him again!
