Cathedral Cove Park and Ride & Hahei Visitor Carpark
The walkway has some very nice views, but make sure to take water to have on way as there is no option to get once you start the walk. Walk is around 35 mins one way. We got little exhausted as we were carrying our daughter. But the views are worth for the walk.

Town seems to dislike tourists .you park your car outside of town then walk an hour to start of the track to cathedral cove then walk 45 mins to the cove .nice walk but barely worth seeing just a hole in rock . Locals want to charge you for bus trip to start and don't won't you in town .( Spend your money and leave please) .

We came early in the morning due to our jet-lag arriving from Europe. We had an ambitious plan to take the Cathedral Cove Walk but we underestimated the walking path as we had two small infant with us which needed to be pushed in the trolley, so we were very sad that we could not walk to the cove. We however toke our car to the top of the car park where there was a viewing post with an spectacular view! Highly recommended.

Beautiful beach with a lovely moderately shaded walk to reach it. Definitely recommend the bus to shorten the journey though. Check out the smaller coves for a more adventurous experience!

I used the shuttle service to head to Cathedral Cove, the driver was a lovely man named Anton. It was a pleasant drive. I would definitely recommend using this service. It cost $7 for a return trip.

Awesome, but a bit of a trek $5nzd will get you half way, then 30-40 minute hike to the Cove... it's worth it, bring water and sunblock.

A large open carpark but lack of facilities and signs. The bus station is covered literally for the ticket machine only and passengers had to wait on the footpath. The bus itself is so old, feeling a bit unsafe through out the ride.

Warning: in summer no car park at this area parlplatz, you have to park at Hahei Beach and walk approx 4KM. But when walking sure you will say its about 10KM. Its better to visit this place in the morning, if late can parking in summer is disaster and you have to walk approx 5 km steep ups and downs. But at the end you will see mother nature's beauty. Please have enough water and some thing to eat if you are going first time. You can also take kayak and boat facilities find more details at Hahei Beach.
