This place used to be very good but something has changed. The rice they are serving is either old and/or overcooked. And some of the curries are now coming out very soupy.

Ordered Lamb biriyani with plenty of lamb. Butter chicken and lamb Rogan was good and asked for very hot and we couldn't handle it. So don't go for the very hot option if you don't know what you asking for. Overall not bad with decent amount of food for the money spent. We got the uber 25% discount so worth the money spent. Without discount sometimes around $60.

I ordered for two box of rice & they provide only 1 box of rice. On the other hand, Rice has bad smells & it looks like they cooked 3-4 days a go & not well freezing. It makes me sick after having rice. I feel like food poisoning after having the rice from this restaurant. They are not worth for money. Totally disgusting & not healthy. Looks like they are focused on poor quality of food. I would like to make complain towards Auckland council. Thanks

Best butter chicken in Auckland! Another personal favourite is the Prawn Malabari! King of India is the best, the staff are so friendly and they have some of the quickest service around!

My faverate local . The goat curry is spectacular and so full of flavour l. They can make it hotter if you like which is awesome. The other meals (yes even the buttered chicken which makes me cry when the kids get it) are very tender. I don't know if it's indian authentic but it is perfect kiwi authentic.

It is predominantly a takeaway place, so emphasis on the atmosphere is not too vital. It's clean and consistently very tasty and reasonably priced.

The best butter chicken curry I have ever had. Try medium spicy butter chicken ull be all sweet.
