Watch Your Invoice.Some dodgy dealings going on here.We prepaid accommodation but didn't make it to new Plymouth for the first night we paid for. They tried to charge us an additional $110 for arriving late on top of the already prepaid room. That would've resulted in us paying to reserve the room and paying to not stay in it. We did notify them that we were arriving a day late and was not notified of the huge ridiculous charge. They also tried to say we had not paid and tried to charge us twice. GET A MANAGER IMMEDIATELY AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME.Also they refuse to take any responsibility as shown by the reply.

We loved our stay during busy Easter break. Welcoming and very pleasant customer service from start to end with all staff on duty . Accommodated for 30 minutes extra check out time for a special request. King studio room facilties were clean and spacious . The only thing noticed was a loose toilet seat.The indoors/outdoors relaxing areas were well maintained and beautiful with unique paintings/sculptures. We were not able to use the bar as stayed only for one night. The full breakfast was good. Very good value for the entire stay in general. Perhaps more soundproof room as noise in the corridor/ outside in the morning was heard before wake up time.Very convenient location. Definitely recommend.

The Devon Hotel
This is our second time staying at Devon Hotel. I have to give it a five star because they have exceptional customer service at the reception, great buffet breakfast, and you can call the reception to reserve a EV parking spot if you arrive very late in the evening. This was a massive bonus for us since I can just rest in my room while my car charge overnight. Great location and the room is super clean. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks so much for the excellent service!

What an awesome experience. My room was crisp clean. The service is top notch and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The location is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely rooms with excellent amenities for a very good price. Nice little extra touches and very friendly and very helpful staff. Another plus was the heated outdoor swimming pool as well as a nice temperature spa pool. Didn’t eat there this time but the river food has been excellent in the past.

Great place to stay, rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of extra's such shaving kits, shoe polish, toothbrush/paste kit.. loved the shower robes & slippers.Nice touch having a notebook & pen to take away.The bar area had lots of different drinks available, and the seating area was roomy. The price for one night stay with a queen bed & 2 singles was very reasonable, and the Marbles restaurant was a perfect way to eat in.. food was delicious and lots of different varieties.Booked direct with Devon Hot as a package deal.Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.Parking can be difficult at the exit end of car park - if you have a big/wide vehicle.

Excellent. Well appointed rooms. Helpful,friendly staff. Good bar and restaurant. Great choice for breakfast. All this and more for a very reasonable price.Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

A great place to stay in New Plymouth. I went down there few weeks back and booked this place for about a week. I really enjoyed buffet in the morning, a good start for my day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!!

The best visit, the best service and the nicest staff imaginable, warm and welcoming throughout the entire complex. The beds are a dream and the rooms are comfortable with absolutely everything you could need. Marbles restaurant is as perfect as it always has been and though we've dined there whenever we're in New Plymouth, its the first time we've stayed on the premises, it certainly won't be the last. A perfect, flawless experience and we thank you all at The Devon. Jenny and John McPeake
