What a rip off company Discover Cars is . We booked with them and lost our money due to covid lock down . No refund not even a credit . The worst thing is no telephone number . Never use this company so bad

The worst car rental experience I ever had. As a third part agency they can’t guarantee anything. We were order an Aqua Toyota, the picture on their website was definitely newer than 2014. But the car rental company which is YES Rental gave us a 2007 Corolla. I tried to call discover cars they said there is nothing they can do, how ridiculous. They just ruined our trip on the first day.

Booked and picked up car from airport branch on the same day (make sure you have clear location pickup instructions). Would've loved to leave my car to make it an easier pickup/drop-off process. Immaculate vehicle and excellent customer service and communication over the phone and via email. Would certainly recommend.

I'm standing at the counter waiting for my car and already want to cancel the booking and go with a more reputable company. The service has been very poor and the staff have been very in polite. The Carolla that was booked is not available and a smaller economy car is trying to be provided for the same price. When entering the car the navigation did not work and they started that navigation is not included with the vehicle. Not to mention that the car doesn't have cruise control the attendant stated that none of their cars have cruise control which is hard to believe in 2023. I'm truly disappointed with the service and all of the hidden information. I would avoid this company like the plague. I travel regularly and wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

This is not a car rental company. I nearly got sucked in.It is a booking company like KAYAK. But KAYAK is upfront about not being the actual rental company.

We used Discovery Cars to book a rental car in Queenstown and although the site is easy to use, not all the companies they display/promote are reputable. I would be very warned of using unknown car companies without further investigation. The company we were directed to was called Ezu Cars and I would not recommend them at all. Did not have ski racks even after emailing confirmation that they did, staff not trained and unable to handle multiple customer complaints or explain insurance policy they were charging for, car was not serviced (as per dates on sticker), tyres tread was very questionable and overall experience tainted heavily. Rent with caution!

Most shocking rental company I have ever delt with ! Zero communication skills on their part . Absaloutely por customer service . Should 100% never ever book with this company ! Not to mention how rude the guy was ! Next time we will book with a Nz based company ! Has been the worst experience ever ! From start to finish .

This is the worst intermediary car rental company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My wife and two children are stranded in Brisbane as the car rental supplier closes at 12noon on a Saturday. My wife's flight was late arriving, and Discovery Cars will do nothing to help, and refuse to provide a refund even though they agree this situation is not fair or reasonable. Find an alternative company.

I only give discover cars because it won't let me give them a zero. I cannot say how much you should not book with this company, on top of terrible working hours and no response when waiting at their desk to pick up the car we were waiting for, they finally responded to an email hours later and told me that I only had 50 minutes to pick up from my estimated arrival. However because my flight was delayed there was no chance of making this and discover were not very sympathetic, extremely unsatisfactory service and I will never book with this terrible company again.

Absolutely terrible intermediary service. Misleading insurance policies, and terrible customer service. Do yourself a favour, if you’re from NZ, just get domestic travel insurance as it’s cheap and will cover everything you need and will avoid the inevitable shakedown at pick up. Do your research and go somewhere reputable.
